The Order Of Scales (Code of Ehiennthurst)

  • Victory in battle, honors one’s god
  • Service to one’s king honors oneself
  • Religious virtues to honor one's family
  • Defense of any charge until death
  • Respect to all above one’s station
  • Obedience and respect from all beneath your station
  • Refusing any challenge in combat is cowardly
  • Battle is the test of one’s prowess
  • Death to all who oppose the code
  • Death before dishonor
  • Loyalty to the Order of Scales

The Order Of The Blue Star (Imperial Elven Code)

  • Noble Service cheerfully rendered
  • Defense of any charge until death
  • Protection for the weak (commoners)
  • Respect to all
  • Honor to all above your station
  • Respect from all beneath your station
  • Military prowess exercised to serve good cause
  • Courtesy to all females
  • Contest is the glory of knighthood
  • Defeat all who contest this order
  • Dissolution before dishonor
  • Personal glory in battle is to honor one's god
  • Loyalty to all other knights of the Rose
  • Peace is the giving of life

The Laws Of Svartr Dróttinns (The Black Lord’s Code)

  • Obedience and/or respect from all but the king
  • Honor one’s king
  • Scorn for all those who are lowly and ignoble (this includes knightly limitations on weapons and armor)
  • War is glory
  • Death to all who oppose the cause
  • Battle is the test of one’s prowess
  • Combat is glory
  • Refusing any challenge in combat is cowardly
  • Cowardice is punishable by death

The Dictations Of The Tyranian Order (Code of the Avengers)

  • Noble service above all
  • Victory is a must regardless of how it derives
  • War is self glorification
  • Killing is one’s way of paying homage to one’s god
  • Battle is one’s way of honoring one’s king
  • Death to all who speak against the Dictations
  • Disrespect to all beneath your station
  • Obedience to all above your station
  • Submission in battle to retain one’s life is dishonorable but acceptable if defeat can be relinquished
  • Mercy is for the weak
  • Power demands respect from all beneath your station

The Inquisitions Of The Frostwind Knighthood (Knightly Code Of Valtarum)

Knightly Ethics (The Chivalric Code)

* Explanation: "Scorn for those who are lowly and ignoble". (he will not help the ill-mannered, the coarse, the crude; he will not use equipment which is badly-made or inferior; he will fight on foot before riding a nag; etc.);

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


Commandments from the Arkuthic Church (reference from 11th century crusading knights)
  • Thou shalt believe all that the Church teaches and shalt obey all her commandments.
  • Thou shalt defend the church.
  • Thou shalt respect all weaknesses and constitute thyself the defender of them.
  • Thou shalt love the country in which thou wast born.
  • Thou shalt not recoil before thine enemy.
  • Thou shalt make war against the infidel without cessation and without mercy.
  • Thou shalt perform scrupulously thy feudal duties, if they be not contrary to the laws of God.
  • Thou shalt never lie, and shalt remain faithful to thy pledged word.
  • Thou shalt be generous and give largesse to everyone.
  • Thou shalt be everywhere and always the champion of the Right against Injustice and Evil.

The Paladin Code (Not a knightly code, but a set of strict guidelines a paladin must try to stay within at all times)

  • Service to your god and religion above all else
  • Law and order for all
  • Honor those who are deserving
  • Respect to those who hold equal values
  • Obedience and respect from all beneath your station
  • Military prowess exercised in service to your god
  • Obey all laws unless they conflict with one's religion
  • Courtesy to all
  • Ignoring those who are unlawful or committing evil is to dishonor oneself
  • Avoid all excesses in life
  • Care for the sick and aid the distressed
  • Honor your liege, lord and deity
  • Do not permit evil to cause harm
  • Defeat to all who oppose your religion
  • Dishonor and dissolution before defeat
  • Victory in combat honors one's religion
  • Protection for the weak honors your god
