Act 1, Scene 1: "Through the Undergrowth" (Main Game Thread)

"Dom skild, getref my spies, slegte alarm!!" Katten calls in the gutttal language of the Goblins.

Linar moves S 10' (2 squares) and 10' SW (2 squares on the diagonal) to look west to check if its a passageway and whether anything is coming.
If there's a passageeay to the west, Linar melts into the shows and covers westward with his bow, otherwise (if no passageway west) he shelters behind the stone pillar another 5' to the south and hides, covering approaches from the south.

Garroth continues northwest, covering the passage there. He finds that it narrows considerably, but definitely leads somewhere... Meanwhile, Nocturno plays a quick Rat tat-ta-tat on the rusty shield; hoping the goblins take it for a false alarm. Katten attempts to aid the deception by calling out in the goblin tongue.

Nice one. The human says to the feliz ranger, understanding her goblin perfectly.

The Drow slips southward, bow ready. He finds that the passage narrows and the ceiling lowers drastically to about 4'. In the shallow alcove he sees odd pile of fur or hide moving about sluggishly... suddenly he realizes, this must be the goblins' sleeping area, and they are quickly rousing from slumber!

[The brown circles are goblins waking from their bedrolls...]

Figuring this will meet up, Garroth continues west through the narrow 5' wide section to the junction and looks both north and south.. If nothing is about, he takes the turn south using speed over stealth at this stage..

Staying with the bow to avoid having to fight under a 4' ceiling, Linar tries to surprise the goblins and sticks some arrows into them.
(If one hits but doesn't kill the goblin that it gets the second arrow too.)

If any of the goblins approach Linar before he's fired the second arrow he will step back carefully but maintaining his attention on the creature. Drawing it out of the sleeping hole might allow his colleagues to see what's going on..

Van will advance to be Garroth-> maybe keep some baddies off him... or light the way.

Seeing the first arrow fired katten moves forward, realising that no one is going to pay any attention to her at all.

[Nocturno]

Seeing the arrow fire Nocturno will charge.

If he can get past Linar this round he will say:

"How many?" as he rushes by.

Linar looses a shaft into one of the rising mounds, which immediately drops and stops moving. Katten, seeing him fire comes rushing over. Spotting the moving shapes she too fires, nailing one in the leg. The creature screams loudly in pain and falls, but soon ceases his twitching. Linar fires again, the shaft clattering noisily into the wall as Nocturno comes rushing over. Katten draws her bowstring hastily to get a second shot off before the elf arrives, but the bowstring snaps!\

What's going on?! Elden asks, moving to follow the sounds but bumping into a column instead. Where is everyone? Lead me to them! I can fight in the dark if they're near!

The goblins begin to groggily gain their feet and scramble for weapons!



Meanwhile:
Garroth continues west to find the 'passage' south was merely an alcove. A room opens up northward, revealing a cleared area with evidence of many fights, including old blood on the ground. Crude weapons line the walls and the place stinks of stale sweat and blood.

[Since Nocturno was rushing over in reaction to something katten did after she reacted by moving and attacking, I'll rule he had time to make it there but not attack this round yet.]
[All archers can be considered to have at least 3 bowstrings (so 2 backups) but it would take half a round to re-string a bow in combat if not in melee. If in melee range, it cannot be done]

Nocturno rushes over, and sees several goblins rising from slumber!

Nocturno will start making his way North, stabbing as he goes.

He will also sigh loudly and shake his head at the human who can't see in the dark and not have his own torch or lantern... while taking his sword to the nearest goblins.

"Faen til helvete!" Katten curses dropping her bow and drawing her blade drawing into a defensive position by Dran.

If it's a clear shot, Linar tries to put an arrow into a kobald to the south. If it's still moving he intends that the creature gets another one.
Otherwise Linar will move {OOC: elven stealth not thiefy MS} 20' or so to the south skirting the SW wall of the main passageway (not the 4' high sleeping area) so as to cover any approach from the S/SE, melting into shadows when in position.
