Well, Hilldale is a Halfling community and it isn’t very big, but I’m sure you’d love it! We aren’t really known for magic, but they would love your music. I know you’re used to the big city, though, but the Sun Kingdom is full of them! There’s even an elven city not far from Hilldale, it’s the most beautiful place I’ve ever seen! Elsa calms down a bit as they move into the Jail.

A fire has been built in the hearth, gradually warming the room, but her eyes instinctively go past it to the heavy doors leading to the cell area. A man is seated with a cup of coffee at the well-worn round table in the corner. He is fully armed and armored aside from his helm, which sits atop the wooden table. He stands as she enters and nods to them. His weathered features proclaim him to be likely in his late forties or early fifties, and he is obviously quite fit, though not bulky. The salt and pepper scrub on his face matches his short-cropped hair, and he even stands with the air of a veteran fighter. He takes in the pair of them before speaking in a gravelly but respectful tone, Trouble? Or have you come to visit your friend?

[Jenara]

"That sounds lovely. I've never seen an Elven City.. we had them at home but the elves all left, no one knows where." Mira sighs just before she steps inside.

"Can I see him, please?" She asks, "I borrowed a weapon last night. I'm returning it." Handing the handful of Pastries to Elsa she places the sword on the table. "We tried.. Baki was a casualty. A sad casualty." She says solemnly. "Something went very wrong last night, some of us nearly died... How is Devon holding up? He did the best he could."

"Elsa here is a healer, I'd like her to see to Yasirs wounds, and if I could talk to him alone.. somewhere.. that isn't a dingy cell. He stayed of his own accord. I hope you'll respect that." She keeps her tone light and relaxed.

The guard nods. You'll have to leave your weapons and pouches here, but you can see him. He gives the pastries a cursory glance but says nothing. It was a shame about Bakki. He was a good man. We're going to feel his loss for some time yet, he agrees. Devon os a good lad, but young. He's still a bit idealistic. He's on leave for a while to get his head right. If he makes it through, he'll turn out a good soldier one day.

When Mira goes to return the short sword, the guard forestalls her. You can keep that if you like. Bakki brought it himself. We provided him with a sword, but he always insisted on carrying that one. It's an older blade, and heavier than most since it's not steel, but he'd fight un-armored before giving that one up. He shows no reaction to learning Elsa is a healer, and addresses the other topic. I can't let him leave the cell area, but he's staying in the hallway. We've made it as comfortable as we can for him, considering. If you'll leave your things here, I'll have Jenkins open up when you're ready. He says, unlocking the outer door to the cell hall.

Once the girls are ready, he will lead them to the first section. Portculli will open and close behind them, and he'll let Elsa back out after if the other two want to be alone. Let me know when you're ready and I'll describe the scene.

"Indeed. He seemed like a good man. One used to the particular problems here." Mira comments as she lays both blades side by side, "Thank you, I feel I may be using the blade for the same reasons as him." She waits for Elsa to leave her gear taking the Pastries. (Silver dagger is hidden, unless he intends to search her he won't find it).

"Id like to talk to Devon. He appeared to like me, perhaps I can help him somehow." She adds, "We are ready." She announces when Elsa is done.

"Thank you." She whispers in common.

Devon won't be back on duty, and we're not at liberty to give out guard's home addresses; but I'll let him know you'd like to see him. He'll send word if he feels up to it or he'll come find you. Are you still staying at the Wayfarer's Rest?

Once the girls are ready, he leads them into the hallway and asks them to wait a momemt. A portcullis closes over the main hall entrance, locking them inside. Each section opens before and closes behind them as they progress. Apparently whoever is controlling the gates can hear them move into each section. Once to the Northeast section, they can see Yasir in the next area. The final portcullis is not raised, but they can see him easily enough through the heavy, grid of bars. He seems well rested, and clean. A pallet of blankets lays in the floor of the hall for a bed, and a pitcher of water and wash bowl have been provided for him. One of the cell doors behind him is open a crack, likely to use the privy there.

A broad grin splits his face as the two walk up. He scratches the two-day stubble on his face as he looks them up and down. Well, well... what are you two in for? Charming all the young men away from their sweethearts? Burning down the capital? Elsa tries to hug him through the bars with marginal success. Let me see that cut. She says in a no-nonsense manner. Yasir waves her inspection away a little without really giving her the chance to look. It's fine. Itches a bit, but that'll go away once I get a proper bath. That and a decent shave and I'll be set. He gives Mira a wink.

[Jenara]

Mira nods in agreement, "Yes the Wayfarer, but we will heading out once Yasir is free." She moves through the portcullises grasping Elsas hand she tries to stay calm, "I have to stop thinking about last time." She moves along.

"Hey you." Her smile grows wider as she approaches the warrior. She hangs back for a moment allowing Elsa to look at him... "Right, if you want to 'be set' you need to stay still and let Elsa look at that wound. "Then we'll see about that a bath and that shave." She winks back, trying to keep a straight face.

It's fine, he says, letting Elsa see the wound. It is still red, but it doesn't look infected. S'matter, afraid I'll bite? he teases the bard, motioning for her to come closer. Elsa checks it thoroughly, and shrugs. It looks like any other scratch. the halfling concludes. I'll put something on it, but it doesn't look too bad. She tends him and calls for the guard to let her out. Before leaving she squeezes the bard's hand and gives her a smile. The portculli raise and lower as she makes her way back, leaving the Warrioe and the Bard alone together.

[Jenara]

"Never." she giggles, "I'm just making sure you are fit and healthy." She giggles again, reaching her hand through the bars. "I missed you last night, you know." Nearly dropping the pastries she lowers her head.

"I brought these for you, I thought that you might like them." Passing one than through the bars.. "I hate to think of you in here. I know its for the best, but..." Squeezing his arm she pulls him close.

Mmmm, he smells her hair as he draws her closer. Missed you too... he murmurs, accepting the pastry. I'll save this for later but can't promise I won't steal a nibble in the next few minutes... he says, intending nothing about the pastry.

[Jenara]

"You are naughty." She giggles, "I like that. We met someone new, Jerry she's from your homeworld, very ummm." She pauses, "I think she spent the night with Merrick last night..."

[TristenC]

Really?... Hmmm... maybe she's a silk whisperer... ask her if she follows Sune. It could be one of hers, they're sort of... free with their affections.

[Jenara]

"Artanis said I was one of those!" Mira comments with a frown, "I just realised... I'm going to slap him..."

Yasir chuckles, Well you are 'comforting' a prisoner, he quips with a wink. Besides, what do you care what he thinks? He probably chases deer-tail anyway. Those druids... he shakes his head in amusement, Why anyone would want to live in the woods all the time when there are perfectly good inns with redheaded wenches I'll never know. he punctuates his statement with a quick pinch, the sort a serving maid might receive...

[Jenara]

"I need his respect, because, how else will we work as a team." She jumps slightly at the pinch, "Wench! I'll give you Wenches!"

[Jenara]

Mira calls Elsa back to explain everything that had happened to them since they left him at the Jail... Including the battle with the Wolves, and the girl (who didn't tell us her name) ..

"So we need to be in Skald In a week, I have a spot playing there, so that's where we are going." Taking his hand she giggles, "The others will no doubt see you soon. With Jerry." She shoots him a warning glance. "I'll be back before I play.."

(There is no chance that she could be there at full moon and play right?)
