Benjamin stands outside the inn, estimating distances. He'd likely be leaving as Alex was coming, which might mean using the window to escape. He enters, and uses his small share of the loot to order a mug of ale before taking stock of the holy man who was being chummy with his companions from a nearby bench leaned against the stair.

He waves to Zurgo, not noticing just how drunken the orc has gotten before plucking some notes. He needed some practice to calm himself before bed, after all. "The maid of Inesia" was a simple but raunchy tune about a woman whose lovers all turned into snakes, from deep in the marshes from which he came.

Full party:
As the party welcomes the new member and discusses their plans, the innkeeper keeps the tap running and fills all the orders for drink that the party asks for. Benjamin gets a mug of the typical inn's watered down ale. Zurgo gets a bottle of definitely NOT watered down red wine, although it's still a fair bit lighter then the drink he grew up with. When the innkeeper finds a break in the conversation he asks his new guests; "So do the rest of you want to get rooms for tonight also or do you have other accommodation?"

Meanwhile Hihim channels his divine power, for the first time in a while to actually treat a weapon inflicted injury. Of the group, Jasmine appears to be the most battered, so he focuses most of his healing power on her to bring her back to peak condition.

Rolls+stuff:
Zurgo receives (and partially drinks) a bottle of wine. Innkeeper makes a note of how much it'll cost when he's ready to pay.
Benjamin recieves a mug of ale. Innkeeper makes a note of now much it'll cost when he's ready to pay.
Hihim channels energy: Jasmine heals 4 HP, Zurgo heals 3 HP.
Hihim casts cure light wounds on Jasmine: Jasmine heals 4 HP
Everyone present is now healed to full.

Gaheris and Jasmin will rent one of the good rooms, splitting the fee among themselves.

Hihim says, principally to Gaheris, "That seemed to go well. I should go and tell Father Warren that I will be traveling with you. I will return from the temple in the morning. Where do you want me to meet you? And when?"

Yes I'm sure your aid will be invaluable. I suggest meeting us here in the morning I know that a inn such as this is a difficult place for a priest with the abundance of fine drink and (he glances at Jasmine) Fine women. We wouldn't need any slipping of vows we'll need your holiness in the morning.

I on the other hand have some business to attend to then I shall sleep outside the trappings of civilization make a man soft you know.

"Ok, I'll meet you here an hour after sun up," replies the dwarf.
After listening to any replies, he bids the unusual group a good night and heads back to the temple to update Warren, eat, clean up and arrange for a 'morning call' just in case.

Unless anything significant occurs in the night, Hihim washes, prays for spells, eats, gathers up his kit and heads off to the Inn to meet the adventurers.

He's both excited and apprehensive about the challenges and experiences rushing towards him.

Benji orders a few more drinks over the course of the night as he descends into progressively raunchier songs that can substitute hiccups for quarter rests such as "drunken wolfman on the sill", progressing to the riskier business of "the illicit affair of the five friars" and finally bottoming out with "I done knobbed a tree lady, 'avent I?", a song about dryads so filthy that a dust devil would feel disgusted.

Realizing he's not going to make it much longer that night, he slurredly asks a post and then the bartender for somewhere to sleep. "I'll take yer lousest stable, you venom-servesman," and lazily slaps an inexact number of coins on the countertop.

Zurgo was rather impressed by benji's diverse song selection. "humans are too prude!" he laughs, his glass laying abandoned on the floor as he takes the second bottle of wine 'von der Quelle'. Only after warren left did he notice the bruise he was sitting on didn't hurt anymore.

"i like him....." he slured as he dropped his money for food and rent on the table, and took his key into the nearest door. which was in fact the broom closet. he quickly corrected himself and made his way upstairs.

All
Ishan, after saying his piece leaves the inn to attend to his business and find a fine spot of ground outside of the town to sleep. The ground is as hard as he's ever remembered it, which is how he likes it. Even when he's sober he likes to find a good ditch to sleep in and he awakes in the morning well rested.

Hihim doesn't wait too long after Ishan has left the inn before he departs himself. He has his own little room near the church, and he spends what is possibly his last night there for an unknown amount of time. He'll be soon to learn there's nothing quite like the comfort of home. In the morning he makes his morning preparations and heads back to the inn to meet his new friends.

Zurgo leaves next, paying for two bottles of wine (one of which he's already drunk, one which he takes to nurse upstairs in his room) and a common room. The room is nothing spectacular, but it does have a bed and his sleep is uninterrupted.

Gaheris and Jasmine leave next to enjoy the comfort of a better room. The bed is comfortable and the room is large enough to easily accommodate both of them. It is also clear that it was well maintained and the room is spotless. The room itself isn't quite as nice or as well priced as the Ichabod inn, but it does have the conveyance of being right in the town, instead of the Ichabod's very unusual placement.

Benji stays behind the longest, nursing a drink which the innkeeper learns to make sure he doesn't see the bottom of it. He's got a lot to think about, but instead of think about them, he prefers to sing some good old drinking songs he's heard (and sung) in his travels. After everyone's left a group of four or five (he's not sure which, or if he's seeing double) townsfolk come in and join him in his drinking and some of them try to sing along to his songs. (Benji is the best singer of the group, although as they consume more drinks, this starts not being a very impressive feat). Finally when Benji's ready to go to bed the bartender sets him up with a room and states a price for the drink he's consumed and the room. Benji pays an amount, but he's not sure how much he paid until he wakes up and counts his coin. He is sure that the bartender was happy with how much he paid.

Random encounter check for Ishan: 1, no encounter tonight.
Zurgo spends 9 sp (4 on wine, 5 on a room).
Benji drinks a lot of watered down ale and gets a common room (spends 2 gold).
Everyone rests up and regains use of their dailies.

You can assume that everyone meets in the inn's common room during the next post, although some people might be slow to get there (such as Benji and Ishan).

Hihim breezes in, annoyingly cheerful, "Morning all! Hopefully all as fine as this fine day. And ready for the off. Which is to where, by the way?"

Hihim's cheery disposition was felt all the way upstairs, where Zurgo roused from the nest of sheets he had made the bed into the night before. He glanced at the empty bottle that had rolled into a corner after his midnight toast. Imperial red...guess humans knew how to make decent wine, which was a blessing. no Feuerblut....but that wasn't a luxury he ever expected to see again.

he came down the stairs like he always did; packed, with his spell book out and open to its designated starting page, casually juggling last nights drink container in the other hand. after exchanging the bottle with a mug of water he finds a table, looks around for his friends, realizes that the dwarf is NOW his friend, and beckons Hihim for breakfast.

Gaheris descends after Zurgo, stretching after last night's workout. He pops his neck and his knuckles, then has a seat. "We can discuss today's business when everyone gets here," he says. "Wasn't one of us supposed to get killed in a duel or something?"

Jasmine walks down shortly after Gaheris, soon enough to hear something about the duel. "Yeah, what happened to the duel?" she asks as she sits down.

Ishan has been sitting at the bar since morning looking far to chipper for a man who missed a real bed late night. He chews on jerky while washing it down with his own flask much to the chagrin of the barkeep.

At mention of the duel he spins around and speaks loudly at Jasmine, spewing bits of chewed jerky. "Awew what you told him, but I had this whole thing where I was gonna, and then, ughhhh oh well."

He turns to the priest and swallows before continuing, "Look, some crazy lizardman wants to kill Benji because he's a drow which is Racist and he wants to kill me because I am hmm, A Stain On Imperial Honor or something like that, I wanted to fight right away but that cold blood coward ran off before I could defend my honor."

Looking over at Benji he smiles, "don't worry I left a note at the barracks telling him where we are going so its all under control."

"But don't you worry about that holy beard we have our own quest to handle but that's ouside my expertise," he waves at Gaheris, "Ask our leader."
