WotL OOC Thread II

This 2E Dragonlance game is set in the city of Haven, during the War of the Lance. Haven is a city undergoing great upheaval. First massive numbers of refugees pour in, then the city is conquered by a draconic army. Can our heroes survive under this dark occupation?

Hi all,
Just joined: Shima Longfoot, Dwarven Wayfinder, black attired, is now staying in Haven, at the High Hand.

Yep, this is our newest player, Chris1234...

Wait, a minute...1-2-3-4? That's amazing, I've got the same combination on my luggage!

Anyway, with mgbevan on holiday for another month, chese out with a broken rib, and spyguy AWOL, I figured we could use another player in the mix. Everyone please welcome him to the game.

Nice! Hail, and well-met!
It's nice that half our party (though 2 are 'temp' npcs now...) are staying in the same place :D

Grubnick will be happy to see a dwarf again... if he doesn't try to cave my gobbo face in first ;)

Indeed, our first non-Aghar dwarf PC. It should be interesting to see how his presence might change the current dynamics among the other PCs.

HI Tristen. Thx for the greeting. You can add me if you want to (I think this site allows that).
- Best to start with a table and chairs between them when they first meet - or in presence of someone who can vouch for the goblin.

Only with a melee attack, yes. With ranged weapons, you still have to roll because you might miss.

Groovy. I'm planning on applying the mace to the face, I just wanted the others to pour some damage on him in case I don't get there in time.

Now I understand that snake-priests are inherently dangerous and should be removed from being a threat before they become able to move again, but consider this: If the snake priest was ever meant to leave that room, say, if the attack didn't happen today, he would have been given information on where the traps were that he was likely to run into. He might also have information about the location of Tulbas.

Of course, there's always the chance that he'd rather die then tell us anyting, but one way we might get information from him, or we might kill him. The other way we just kill him without giving him a chance to be helpful. No one happens to have a charm spell do they?

While I agree wholeheartedly, Grubnick is a passionate follower of Sirrion and false cults like this that kidnap and force people to join them make him pretty angry, so he's not exactly thinking clearly with regard to this priest...

It's on ground level, at the top of the stairs.

Find Traps is active for another 22 rounds.

I meant how high does the dias rise above the level we are on. Sorry, should have been more specific.
