The two half-elves look at each other, and an entire conversation could have passed in that glance. Merrick turns back to her and says, in elven, Perhaps we should… With that, Mira takes her leave and heads back into the street. Her thoughts linger on the two, pondering how they had arrived here, and what their story was… it was sure to be a good one… About that time she heard others speaking in a language that sounded odd at first, but she could understand it.

After hearing nothing but Harmonian for a month, the sound of common being spoken was almost strange to her, but that’s what it was. It was an odd dialect, but easily understandable. Another voice joined in, high and light like that of an elven child, but it spoke the common dialect of Krynn! Searching the crowd ahead for the source of the sound she laid eyes on a trio standing in the road before the Broken Jug, a local Tavern and a bit of a dive. There was a man in filthy rags with a large sword strapped to his back beneath a pack topped by a small crossbow. He was only barely shorter than her, and tan as if he spent every day in the sun. He spoke to a young lady wearing chainmail and bloodied robes of all things, with a mace at her side and a shield strapped on her back. The way she spoke, however, perhaps she was not a child but merely short. Then she saw the little one, and nearly fell over. That rapid manner of speaking and energetic almost manic demeanor, when combined with the language of her homeworld, could make him nothing less than a Kender! Here!

[OOC: And now we arrive to the long-awaited transition to the main thread! <insert fanfare here> The others do not see you yet, and you cannot tell exactly what they are saying over the crowd but you picked out enough words here and there to determine they are speaking common. Yeah that's hat its designed for, but it suits the style I was looking for.

Just ignore the sleeves and shorten the length and you have it.

Elsa helps Mira upstairs, assuring her they will go shopping tomorrow and that the shops are all closed for the festival. It takes a little effort for the Bard to make it up the stairs, but the Halfling is patient and helpful. Once to their room Elsa unlocks the door and walks her inside, pausing at something she sees. Is that Yasir’s flask? Wait… was he… nevermind, I’ll ask you about it later. Are you ok? Do you want me to sit with you a while?

"The flask?" Mira asks barely keeping herself upright on the doorway, "I'm so glad I found you all, I... I was so lonely.. These people are so nice, but.." She collapses in the doorway, "Elsa." She adds lifting her head. "Cal is.. Very obvious." She winks.

Elsa laughs a little at the last, Obviously not my type you mean. She helps the Bard up from the floor and over to the bed. You seem pretty popular, but I guess I know what you mean about being lonely. There's something odd about this place... I mean what kind of place doesn't have Halflings and Elves around? Or even Gnomes I guess... We can all stick together, it'll be great! she says cheerfully. Do you want me to wait with you a bit or are you going to rest for a while?

"It's like I... I told Yasirrrr, when he.. " she motions to the bed. "I'm scared.. All of this.. It's a front, I'm..." Resting on the bed her eyes closing. "I need..." She goes silent for a moment. "Thank you." With that she stops talking, a little snore coming from her.

Elsa kisses her head lightly and whispers We'll all take care of each other... The halfling heads downstairs, locking the door behind her.

[Ooc: I'll see if we can get the group to do a montagey bit while Mira rests, or if they go to Toad's Toe it'll take them some extra time walking.]

Mira sleeps softly curled in a little ball, breathing gently as she dreams of her home and the people she left behind.

(At your own pace, she needs a rest and when she sobers up, then she'll copy down the spell and have a little space.)

[OOC: Alrighty. Once the others get underway we’ll be able to do some ‘waking world’ stuff but to pass the time, how about we dream a little dream ]

Mira left the massive stage, snaking her way back through the cavernous passage into the side room of the Crysal Club. She wore a stunning black dress, the one she had made at the Blue Bolt by Marie, and had played the set of her life! Surely next week they would invite her back, maybe even at a later time… The club was packed and the patrons all held their breath as the crystals continued to reverberate from her performance. Slowly the sound ebbed away and thunderous applause exploded as soon as it did.

She blushed a little at the attention, as she approached the bar. One of the patrons quickly offered her his seat, a well set-up man about her age with jet black hair and those startling blue-violet eyes the whole town seemed to have. The bartender smiled and set a fine quality Meekulbrau before her, complementary of course. The patrons raised their glasses, and the handsome man who had offered his seat made a low bow and offered a toast in his rich, deep voice: To the finest talent and the greatest beauty to visit Harmonia in a century! May she stay with us forever! With that, he and the rest down their drinks.
