CH. 12: Wyvern's Island

Gallath stares down the gnome before him, then relaxes, convinced he is no threat. "I" he says, "am Gallath. And who might you be?"

Dahn respectfully regards the bird man." Of course I remember him."
"As for who I am," he says, turning to Gallath,"well, that's a bit of a long story, but you can call me Grey."
"It's been a while, Ouragana, what brings you back here? Any of the others back as well?

[Breila]

Ouragana sits back at her table, gesturing to a free chair vor Dahn/Grey. "Val and Jocelyn are here" she says. "Areilon got grievously hurt, she is in for a longer stay in a temple of Octhanus. And new members have joined the group, Gallath here most recently, and a big ranger named Bearos with his two dogs. We're just in for the day, we'll be leaving tomorrow."

Ouragana turns her attention back to Koh'kra, and to her food.

Wallace sits back down. "So you trust him?" he says quietly to Ouragana. "Since we lost the other two, we may want to pick up another fighter. He looks to be a wizard, and we may need one of those. You've known both him and the captain the longest" He trails off in thought at his mention of the captain, then blushes slightly and continues. "So anyway, you may want to talk to her and see if she can handle another adventurer.

Jocelyn, Brock and Baeros (Narin Temple of Gonto)
Leena takes a step back from Baeros. "I...have duties to attend to, sorry. I will send word to my superiors in Paradise City to expect to hear from the church of Octhanus. Have a good day."

"As much as I trust you" Ouragana answers with an enigmatic smile. Strange, this man had just joined the group himself... she knew him far less than she knew Grey... and why did he worry about Sierra? she was hiring the group of adventurers to get a job done, not leading it. Resolutely, she turns her attention back to Koh'kra.

After saying good-bye, Jocelyn goes shopping for a new bedroll and a new shirt, then she and Brock (and presumably Baeros) return to the Paragon to meet up with the others.

However, upon arriving, Jocelyn sees none other than Grey and Koh'kra sitting with Ouragana and Gallath.

Dahn accepts the seat offered him him and gestures towards Koh'kra.
"So, what brings him into town?"

Jocelyn stops short in the door way as she looks over the two familiar faces. "Huh," she says as she approaches the group. "Catching up with old friends, Oura?" she asks.

[Breila]

"It seems so" Ouragana smiles up at Jocelyn. "Though I have no idea what brought Koh'kra into town. He has not learned the Common tongue from his mother - or at least he doesn't show it. I saw him on the marketplace and invited him in."

Jocelyn smiles to Koh'kra, before looking to Grey. "So, where have you been?" she asks.

"I've been here," Dan smirks, "the question is where have you been?"
"I imagine you've seen some interesting places."

[HorizonsDream]

"Oh, I say that we've been to a few interesting places," Jocelyn says. "An island where the natives tried to kill us, we killed dragons, and now we are off to kill some pirates," she says. "But that is only after we search for some sort of canon thing for the Bullring."

Ouragana almost chokes on her water when she hears Jocelyn's downplay of their adventures, but she can't say anything because she's coughing so hard.

Gallath looks with concern at Ouragana. "Are you all right?"
