Re: Searching the ship
Kulop eyes move from one to the other and back, eventually he says, "My box is an evidence? Oh well, that's great! Non of my possessions ever been an evidence. I don't even remember where I got this box originally and it is hard to fit into my packs, so I don't mind share it with you. As long as it stays evidence, that is." he says happily.
Re: Searching the ship
Gustas, quite merrily oblivious to the tense disagreement between the others, exclaims "Bilges?!" rather loudly, "Bilges right this way!" and shuffles off towards them.
Re: Searching the ship
Brax's foresight doesn't offer her anything, she only gets a few blurry images. She knows that this means that there are, right now, many possible outcomes of the situation, and none is very important.
There's more to me than meets the eye...
Re: Searching the ship
Kulop takes the box and put it in Drake's hands. "Here you go. An evidence. Wow, it feels so official! How exciting!" Kulop exclaims and goes after Gustas.
Re: Searching the ship
"I am sorry Oceanus. It appears master drake is suffering from some form of delusion that he is in charge." Brax responds with a scowl, her red eyes glinting.. "Will you be able to wait for a short while longer? Allow the others to search the rest if the ship, and I will wait here." Feet stamping she keeps near the elf, his weapons comfortably held at her side.
"Once we gave finished, I will ensure you will be able to swim." She assures him, a thought in her mind. "Perhaps she could swim with him..?

Re: Searching the ship
"Could you..." Oceanus starts with a hesitation, not liking to admit a weaknes, "is it possible to douse me with a bucket of seawater?"
There's more to me than meets the eye...
Re: Searching the ship
"Great!" Kulop claps. "You wait and rest here, and we will come back in no time!"
Re: Searching the ship
"I would ask one of the others to help, but." Giving an exaggerated sigh Brax rises to her feet, "let me take a look on deck and see what I can find." With that she heads back up on deck, who is about?

Re: Searching the ship
"Douse you with seawater? I can do that. Would you like a straight-down vertical dousing from the top, a Broodzig-style horizontal throw, or a sort of feigned-surprise over-the-shoulder dousing from behind? Or would you prefer one of the more exotic styles?" Looking at the others, Martin pauses. "I'm a professional."
He follows Brax up onto the main deck while muttering about how people don't appreciate professionalism these days.
==================================================================
On deck, Martin says, quietly, to Brax: "A word, If I may?
"Seems I might be giving the wrong impression. The last thing I want at this point is to be in charge, to be anyone's boss, although I do think that Kulop might need a stern speaking-to before we disembark. And we might need to hold him by his ankles and shake him until he stops jingling.
"No, I merely want to see the sun set tomorrow with a little more coin in my purse than yesterday. Actually a lot more, if I can manage it. And getting dead would put a serious hitch in that plan." Martin removes his had and begins fidgeting with the band, adjusting it and tucking in the ribbons.
"People see a man like me and they think that he takes outrageous risks. And I do, sometimes, really. But I get away with the flashy, wild stuff by making sure of the small stuff first. It may look dramatic and reckless when I leap out of a lady's second story bedroom window to escape her irate husband, but know this: before I went into the house I took note of where the dovecote was and how far I'd have to leap to land on it instead of on the woodpile.
"I takes a lot of work to look this reckless."
"Now this sea-elf might be exactly what he appears to be, exactly what he claims to be. And if that is so, we've done him a good turn by rescuing him when we did. And it's a good thing we found him, because had we not...ugh. But at the same time, I'd rather not find out the hard way that he is not what he claims, capisce? I like you people, and so I am looking out for everyone. That way, I am the only one looking foolish at the end of the day."
He shoves his hat back onto his head and cocks his head, one eyebrow raised. "Or perhaps I am being contrary just to irritate you. What to you think?"

Re: Searching the ship
Kulop is waiting few steps behind, looking at the deck for a bucket, then trying to look at the view of the bay. He then gets bored and starts walking around, taking the bucket with him and when he gets to rails he thinks to himself, 'Well, since I'm already here, with my bucket, that I find it hard to recall when I bought it and why did I take it with me, but how fortunate I did, then I can dip it in the water.' And so he does. Returning to Drake and Brax he ask, "So, are we gonna shower the prisoner?" and he starts going back with the full bucket in his hands.
Re: Searching the ship
Gustas was quite happily wandering the Bilges and having a look around. It takes him a while to realise that no one was with him, but he heard feint voices from coming above him. How odd he thought. He knew he was meant to be searching the bilges for... for... something, so he has a look around to see what was down there.
Re: Searching the ship
In his drunken state, Gustas not only hadn't realised that everybody else had left. Alone in the cargo hold, he looked around for the access to the bilges, found the grate alright and took it off. He sat on the rim of the hole, when it dawned on him that there were no stirs leading down. "I'll have to jump then" he thinks and does so. If anyone had been there, they would probably laugh seeing Gustas's face when he realises that the floor of the cargo hold is now at chest hight, and he's up to his knees in fould-smelling, wet refuse.

Re: Searching the ship
Brax stands motionless for some time before tilting her head slightly to the sea. "You do realise, in a former life you'd be fed to my spider for daring to question me?" Her face is cold and impassive, her red eyes fixed on him.
"But that is not me. Pelor is guiding me, he has shown me that Oceanus is who he says he is.." She repeats once more. "Let us get him some water. And finish this." Pausing she raises an eyebrow. "I trust when you see the wisdom Pelor has imparted me with you will offer him a wholehearted apology?"
"As for your motivation, it is not my main concern." With that she turns to Kulop. "Of course master Halfling."

Re: Searching the ship
“You would do that? Gaah.” Martin shudders exaggeratedly, setting the bells on his waistcoat ringing.
“In that case, I am glad I didn't know you then. This whole ‘not-feeding-people-to-bugs-for-offering-to-help-you’ might be the start of something wonderful. Who knows what it might lead to? Heck, if you’re not careful, you might actually start valuing divergent viewpoints, if only for the sake of challenging assumptions.”
“And our new mer-elf friend wants no apology from me. Unless failing to instantly trust strangers is a sin, I have not wronged him.”
“Oi – Kulop – careful with that bucket.” Martin says, following the halfling belowdecks.

Re: Searching the ship
Kulop virtually run down the stairs, spilling few cups from the bucket as his mind is distracted by holes and niches in the ship he just now thought they could search. On the way, as he sees Gustas he stops abruptly and asks him in wonder "What are you doing?"
