Re: CH. 9: Road to Tu'Valie
"When it just takes a little magic energy, I can do many things, like this smoke. It's mostly a matter of getting the right ideas" Ouragna explains. "I could make a small barrier around someone that bugs can't get into and that lasts for a few hours. More massive things like weapons would still get through, though."
"Oh, and I have another spell that acts like an invisible shield against frontal attacks. If you stay close to me, it would provide some protection for you as well."

There's more to me than meets the eye...
Re: CH. 9: Road to Tu'Valie
"Err... Obviously I know a lot about magic... I'm just a little bit tired."
He looks at Areilon, "No problem. We should coordinate our actions to keep everyone safe. From the way things looks if we won't, Val will get killed first." He looks at Val with a smirk, "We should decide from ahead if to keep close to the fire under attack or away from it. Also who guards who and our positions to let both Ouragana and Jocelyn be both protected and effective. We should also plan our tactics when we are on the move. Now lets have a look at those toads in daylight." Baeros looks at the corpses not far from their camp, grab a long branch and stride to the battle location to poke the toads around.

"We should probably fill up our waterskins before we depart," Andar reminds Jocelyn.
Baeros finds the two dead giant toads where the party had left them. They are already beginning to attract flies. Poking them with a stick has little effect.
=============
Ouragana uses a cantrip.

Re: CH. 9: Road to Tu'Valie
Using Create Water, Jocelyn takes the time to fill up all of the waterskins for everyone.
Re: CH. 9: Road to Tu'Valie
"Thank you again Jocelyn, seems like I am saying that a lot lately." Val prepares to head out.
Re: CH. 9: Road to Tu'Valie
Baeros scares off the flies with the branch and sticks the branch at the toad body areas searching for soft points, or softer than the others, in case they will be attacked again by such creatures. Then he picks another branch tries to open the toad mouth with the branches and roll the tongue out to look at it.
Re: CH. 9: Road to Tu'Valie
Jocelyn creates enough water to fill everyone's waterskins and even their spare waterskins. In fact, several gallons go to waste, because they don't have enough receptacles for it all.
Baeros pokes and prods at the dead toads, and even examines one of their tongues. (However, without knowing what it is he is looking for, I can't provide any specific information.)
========
Jocelyn is now 7.3 lbs in light encumbrance. The party's movement rate drops to 8.

Arei nods to Joyceln, her mood increased slightly by the morning, "Allow me to help you with the load, we will get there quicker that way." She motions to all the waterskins. "We'll take the lead once again, if that is ok with you all?"
" Kid never learned to clear a room. Doors and corners, I told him. Doors and corners."

Re: CH. 9: Road to Tu'Valie
Jocelyn hands Arei her water skin in hopes that she can move a little faster so she isn't slowing everyone down. "We need to get moving."
Re: CH. 9: Road to Tu'Valie
Since nobody had objected Arei's suggestion of the same marching order as the day before, Ouragana takes Thunder's reins leads him into the rear center of the group.
There's more to me than meets the eye...
Re: CH. 9: Road to Tu'Valie
Thunder cracks in the distance. A flash of lightning can be seen a few seconds later to the west. And a few seconds after that, it begins to pour down with rain. On the bright side, this at least cools things off.
=========
Jocelyn is no longer encumbered.
Areilon is now lightly encumbered by 1.8 lbs. The party's movement rate remains 8.
(OOC: *slow clap* Well done. Maybe you should let Thunder carry the waterskin, instead.)

Re: CH. 9: Road to Tu'Valie
Jocelyn lets out a small groan as it starts to rain. "I'm not sure if I should take this as a sign or not," she says softly as she marches along.
Re: CH. 9: Road to Tu'Valie
"A sign of what?" Ouragana asks Jocelyn, puzzled, wiping rain out of her eyes.
There's more to me than meets the eye...
Re: CH. 9: Road to Tu'Valie
"You know what?" Grabbing Joycelns waterskin she ties it to Thunders Saddle. "There, I don't feel like I'm being weighed down again." She comments as she wipes away the rain from her forehead and pulls her cape around her body. "Typical..." She mutters, "Lets pick up the pace and find somewhere to shelter, perhaps without any toads this time."
" Kid never learned to clear a room. Doors and corners, I told him. Doors and corners."

Re: CH. 9: Road to Tu'Valie
Val revels in the fresh water shower, never concerned with water. She looks to the heavens and says "Typical, all the water we could drink." before laughing out loud.
