Babushka realises she may have been discovered, she quietly hides as best she can yet prepares to fight.

"Do you really expect us to believe that such a diverse and well-armed group just happened to wander by our territory?" the lord asks.
"They have the look of mercenaries to me; hired swords," the lady adds.
Hayloft
While Babushka hides in the hay up above, the three cloaked strangers enter the barn and begin poking around. They murmur to each other quietly in elven. One keeps a lookout, the other three start looking in the pens. None have thought to check the hayloft just yet.
"Do you really expect us to believe that such a diverse and well-armed group just happened to wander by our territory?" the lord asks.

"We are welled armed for the simple fact that we need to be able to defend ourselves," Imani explains. "As I stated, there are many dangers within this forest. We have no reason to lie to you."

Hayloft
The three elves continue to search around. Babushka can tell, from their voices, that two are female and one is male. The smaller female even climbs up to the hayloft and starts looking around. She walks right up to Babushka, but because she doesn't bother digging around in the hay, she doesn't spot the hidden gnome.

"What do you think, my love?" Lord Jadestone asks his wife. "Are they telling the truth?"
She seems to consider. "It's possible. But is that a risk we want to take? I suggest we hold on to them for now. If they are lying, we will discover it soon enough. And if they are being honest, then...well, I don't know about you, but I could use a little variety around here," she says, her eyes moving from Ulster to Thuskar to Jerrard. "Don't you think, my dear?"
He sighs. "I suppose so..."
"Very good then," she says. "Guards, take them back to their cells for now."

"If you are lying, it goes to reason that your employers will send someone after you," Lady Jadestone says. "As for the draconians, they are our servants. We found them wandering the forest after the war, abandoned and with no master to serve; we took them in."
"Perhaps, with time, you may prove useful to us, as well," Lord Jadestone adds.
"One way or another," Lady Jadestone says, again looking over the men hungrily.

One, the female still on the ground, asks a question. The male answers. The other female, the one in the hayloft, remains up there, her back to Babushka, listening to the other two on the ground.
The male pulls out a scroll and unfurls it. He seems to be reading from it, but it's in a language Babushka doesn't know. It is familiar, though, and she realizes it's the arcane language of magic, just like Jerrard sometimes speaks.
When the spell is finished, the scroll disintegrates. The male then begins to slowly turn in a full circle, concentrating. When he's facing the same direction that Babushka is in, the Fungus Staff--coiled around her wrist--begins to glow brightly. The light is bright enough to give away her location, even hidden in the hay.

"That doesn't prove that we are lying," Imani points out. "It just proves that we have friends that are worried about us, and that your draconians didn't do a thorough job in capturing all of us. The Khan back home wouldn't have allowed such sloppy work."

Once again Locky goes to speak, but instead she makes sure she is close to Imani.. perhaps they will think of her as a child like she had in Khur.... She knew she should reveal herself, but something told her that Paladines light would not enter this place.

Babushka tenses up and readies herself to jump up and fight, hand on the hilt of the longtooth dagger in its sheath. So far, they probably only knew something magical was hidden there. They would be in for a suprise...

Babushka clasps her magical longtooth dagger, which is not glowing--only the fungal staff is--and waits. The female elf up in the hayloft with her notices the glow and calls something out to her companions. She then begins digging in the hay, searching for the source of the light.
