"It just occurred to me." He says seemingly unaffected by the threat of the crossbow. "I am still learning the uses of spells." He admits, "Come, let's make a camp and I'll check these weapons." He reaches forwards slowly patting the dwarf on the shoulder.

Imani walks over to Fikod, and places her hand upon his shoulder. "You can't kill him for not realizing he could do that," she says gently. "I'm sure he would have done it long ago, otherwise."

"I forgot I could protect us from the heat once." Locky giggles, "It happens, even to a man as smart as Jerrard."

[NoTrammeling]

Fikod mumbles darkly about "empty-headed, robe-wearing" so-and-so's, putting his crossbow slowly as the group brings him down from his murderous rage. His eyes stare daggers at the mage, but he can't stop grinning at the return of his facial hair. He'll help make camp and then retire for the night to oil, braid, and adorn his mustaches in a complex ritualistic weave that's normally saved for extravagant occasions. The whole process takes several hours.

Jerrard gives Fikod a knowing smile, and sets out his bedroll near the others, he sits and studies his spell book, committing the Identity spell to memory.

The cantrip works, and facial hair grows at an incredible speed, although it's wild and untrimmed. "Hey, look," Thuskar says. "There is a way for you to have a mustache some day after all, Ulster."

"Haaaa, haaa, so funny," Ulster grumbles.

The two henchmen set up camp away from the sinkhole and the corpse of the massive wyndlass. Food and water are broken out, Fikod meticulously grooms himself, and everyone gets some rest.

"Who's taken what watch?" Ulster asks.

(OOC: No spells can be memorized until after rest...)

[Jerrard]

(I know, was just outlining his plan)

"Once locky has used her spells, she should rest." Jerrard comments, "I will take a watch."

[Jenara]

Cure moderate on Thuskar: 1d10+1=8 hp.
Cure light on Imani: 1d8=8 hp

She will then rest.

"I'll take first watch with Ulster," Imani says, snickering softly at the two of them. "Um, Jerrard and Thuskar, then Fikod and Babushka."

[Jerrard]

"Works for me." Jerrard agrees (Did the second Cantrip grow his own beard back? If so he might need to do some pruning too).

He casts Armor on Babuskha, and who else would benefit from the other?

Locky uses the rest of her healing spells, and Jerrard places a protective spell on Babushka.

The watches pass without incident, and the next morning arrives. As Thuskar and Ulster pack up the camp, Jerrard studies and Locky prays.

Locky casts Cure Light Wounds on Imani, restoring (1d8): 8 HP.
Jerrard casts Armor on Babushka, improving her AC from 10 to 6.

(OOC: There's nobody you can cast that other Armor spell that would do them any good, I'm afraid.)

It is now Summer End 09, Winged Dream at First Watch.

(Same spells, but he will replaced the used armor with identify, to use at next camp)

"I will take the ring, the armor we will carry for now, Ulster, take the sword..." the mage contemplates the remaining items. "Imani? I have the spell, but to cast it would drain me, I will check the items when we next make camp." he suggests over the small breakfast.

"All right," Imani says. "We should get moving. We have a lot of of ground to cover."

Babushka had been very quiet during the evening and night, and speaks less than usual over breakfasst as well. She siletnly packs her things away as they break camp and stands, ready to depart.
