"By the..." Haahqae looks up. Then he looks father up, leaning backwards far enough to have the appearance that he's falling over backwards. "Oh hi there seeker. We've just gathered everyone else to go off to the mine. Didn't you say you would come if we waited until today?"

"Must be wearing my lucky socks today. If it isn't the Seeker," Kynaston noted.

She kept the company of a kender, and looked even more run-down than the day before. Still, the chances of finding her in a town like Haven were pretty slim, so having her along in any state was appreciable. There was, however, the matter that she was moving in the opposite direction, and rather high up. It wasn't much of a way to have a conversation, but given the ambient noise coming from ahead, one would have to talk loudly anyways.

"Why not," he called back, "Is there the... I mean, is there a problem?"

"This is the fastest route the the mine," he added.

"I still plan on going with all of you to this mine," Kendra assures them. "Once I find a way to get down from here, but this was really the only safe place," she admits. "There is a riot in the market place, so you would want to avoid that area."

"Easy to get down, just jump! I'll catch you." Haahqae jumps to emphasize his point, which, given his current position ends with him lying on his back on the ground.

Quickly Haahqae springs to his feet and rushes over to the building to catch Kendra.

By the time Coroccoco and the barbarian catch up with the rest of the group, they find them on Blade Street, yelling up at Kendra and a kender on the rooftops.

Kynaston actually recognizes the kender as the one he met yesterday morning. Indeed, he still wears Kynaston's long sword on his back.

The kender easily descends to the ground by dropping over the ledge of the roof he's on, grabbing onto the ledge before he drops too far, then hopping over to a window ledge, climbing down some bricks that are sticking out too far, and finally dropping down on some barrels in an alley before hopping off onto the ground. "She started a big riot in the marketplace!" he exclaims. "There's a fire and everything!"

Darga looks dubiously at the kender. He really shouldn't sound so happy when talking about riots and fires and such. But that is just as they are, he supposes.

Looking about nervously, Darga speaks. "If there's fire and rioting, we don't wanna be around there. If that's yer Seeker, we should leave before the guards start rounding people up."

"Ugh, it wasn't my intention to start a riot," Kendra says to the kender. "And, I'm pretty sure you won't be able to catch me," she adds to the gnome. "I'll find a way down." Which is exactly what she does. She isn't exactly sure that she can follow the kender's path, but she does look for a way.

Kynaston looks about the alleyway for a ladder or a pole or anything that could be used to help the descent.

Catching eye of the sword on the kender's back haahqae immediately tries to recruit him.

"That looks like the sword of a true hero you carry with you. Could it be that you are of strong arm and pure heart? We are tasked with slaying demons, and such a task can only be made better with another hero at one's side while they complete it!" Haahqae smiles, pleased with his quick thinking. "Of course, when we're done there will be money and merriment, but that is of no consequence when put up next to helping those in need and having a good time while you're doing it."

"What about shoulders?" Gregeddin calls
Sensing the need to expand, "do you think she could stand on our shoulders when she hangs over the ledge, like a human ladder of sorts."
Gregeddin walks to the rooftop ledge glancing back and forth between the ground, ledge, Corococo and Kynaston.
"Trench, what to you think?" asking him to size up the dimensions.

"Yeah, if you are heading to the main gate, you might want to circle around the marketplace," the kender recommends.

Searching around, Kynaston does spot a ladder about the right size hanging from the side of a building.

The kender shrugs to Haahqae. "Eh, no thanks. I've got my own stuff going on. But maybe I'll look you guys up later. I have my own irons in the fire," he says. "Anyway, I better get going. Good luck with the demon slaying thing, though."

"Very well, good luck in your endeavors, although if it's more exciting then slaying demons or better for the town then reopening a mine during wartime, I'd love to know what it is."

"Shoulders always ends in bruises, mate. My brother had a girl he fancied when we were kids. He'd stack us to watch her undress on the second floor, and I was always the bottom, and- Ah, fancy that, here's a ladder." the big man rambles wistfully.

Not wanting to be spotted by an unruly mob or whatever's going on in the market, he slides the ladder over and very gradually rights it. Once it's in place, he holds it firm.

"Right! Hop on down and let's get to work."

"I was kind of hoping there was a better ending to that story," Kendra admitted as she climbed down the ladder. "Such as, the girl realized she was being watched and gave you both black eyes for the intrusion."

"I was just getting into that tale..." Gregeddin echoes.
"Excellent! Let's avoid the market for want of bruises, ccircle round and be on our way"
