After exiting the cave Papa finds his horse and makes sure its ok, then moves off to the side a little ways and stares out into the distance....

"A portal. And why do you think that?" Octos asks. "I mean we've got a full platoon coming, but I don't like to think I shall have to leave a garrison here to guard a door that spits out monsters."

The legionnaires set to work preparing a rough camp in the shade of the trees, away from the cave mouth and the dead ogre-thing lying outside, and the reeking caterpillar inside. Lacking most of the gear a squad usually carries, they settle for setting up a fire pit and waiting for their reinforcements to arrive while Barber takes another look at Little's wounds.

[Jenara]

"There is only one way out of the cave, and yet hordes of these creatures came out and then back in without a trace.." Angel says Bastian treats her wounds, "I think we need to make sure people know its there. I plan to go back, with a larger force if we can, perhaps Master Fraso would like to explore the cave, and the portal?"

"Right now we need rest, Eldon will need bed rest to recover." She says as she looks over to the fallen man. "We need more force if we are to return. "

[Breila]

Liri stays close to Angel. "At least she sees reason now" she thinks to herself. "I too need rest" she says then, not directly mentioning her injuries.

[Jenara]

"Bastian, could you check on Liri as well, I am used to such wounds.t Angel comments, her left hand resting on the elfs leg.

[Ismaels-Legacy]

"Aye. Mistress, if you don't mind, please accompany me over to Little's side. I'm going to bless both of you at the same time. I'm not sure how much more patient Liquitus will be with my pleas for assistance today." Bastian shows a brief, weary smile as he rises after checking the last of Angel's bandages.

[Stik]

Octo ponders Angel's words, then says: "I can summon engineers here by noon tomorrow, to destroy this portal and make an end of it."

Barber is looking at Little's leg wound when Bastian arrives. "It has stopped bleeding, priest, but he could still use your assistance. I am a bellum medicus. I am good at patching holes, but sometimes divine assistance is the fastest way to get a man back on his feet."

[Jenara]

"I'm not sure about that, the choice should be made by one smarter than me." Angel says with a grudging look, "We place a guard, and ask those in charge "

[Breila]

"I am still able to walk and not in too much pain, so why do you not concentrate on Barber, Bastian. The Medicus's attention will be fine for me, if he consents" Liri suggests to the two men.

"And, Octo, I support Angel's view of consulting the mage before you send engineers in. There is very old and probably dark magic involved. Going there unprepared may mean walking to death."

[Jerrard]

Eldon doesn't say much, laying on his back, his eyes staring up at the sky, cursing his bad luck.

[Jenara]

"Sit with me?" Angel asks, reaching out a hand for the Elf, "I am learning perhaps I am not invincible, my blade can only get me so far."

[Breila]

"With pleasure" Liri says and smiles as she sits down next to Angel. "I am not as strong a fighter as you are, so I had to learn to be careful to survive."

[Jenara]

"Frankly I am used to fighting alongside trained warriors, it is a hard adjustment... I believe I will need to change my fighting style." she says her hand on Liri's leg.

[Ismaels-Legacy]

Bastian nods to Barber and replies, "Aye, I'll work here if you don't mind looking after Liri." He kneels before the bandaged wound and considers his options. He would need to get access directly to the wound, which would require removing the bandage. He looks to Little and says, "I'm going to begin my prayers, while holding the unstopped sacrament above the wound. When I finish the prayer, immediately pull the bandage away and I will pour over the wound itself. Agreed?"

"Agreed - Wait. Will this hurt?"
