Time to prepare

[The_Muffin_Man]

"Oh gods, we're back to trusting strangers again? Well, I'm just going to go find a spear to impale myself on now. Cut out the middle man." Searos looks around the room for someone to gamble with. If he's going to get shanked by strangers again, he may as well do it with a few coins in his pocket.

[Jenara]

"Do you know anything about the sea Master Searos?" Brax asks, wiggling her finger, "No? Then I suggest you be quiet and get drunk."

[The_Muffin_Man]

Searos scoffs at Brax. "I can guarantee you that I'll be doing at least one of those. As to the other? Its going to take quite the power to get htat."

[Breila]

In the Cobweb Inn

It's early in the day, the only guests beside the group are three old men staring into their drinks at one corner table.

A puff o smoke suddenly engulfs Martin's face. "I've never seen you do anything like this, Master Drake" says Kim's icy voice. "And I'm not going to ask you permission to see someone without you coming along." Kim walks over to the bar to bring back a jug of cider and some goblets.


At the constabulary

Geraldine takes a few notes, then smiles at Gunter. "Thank you" she says. "When you come back to the inn, would you please send Master Searos here before he gets too drunk to answer my questions?"

[Jenara]

"Pelor could give me the power to do that, so be careful what you wish for." She winks at him, waving to Kim, "Cider?" Shaking her head she stands and heads to the bar, ordering a glass of Red Wine.

[Stik]

Martin waves the smoke away, coughing exagggeratedly and finally irritated. "Grumpy much?" he says, to Kim's departing back, not expecting an answer. Apart from wizards, this town also seems to be full of incredulous people.

"Aye, Radiance, and thank you for remembering. I know a bit about sailing. I spent two seasons as a Sailor of the NDR Grumbuilino, and one season as Boatswain's Mate, and even spent two weeks as Captain when our Captain was incapacitated by a terrible ailment that nearly cost him his life."

[Jenara]

"Then if you behave yourself we might just let you tag along." Winking at him as she walks away.

[The_Muffin_Man]

Searos watches Brax sashay away for a few moments before saying to no one in particular, "You know, she's awful free with those winks."

[Robbo]

Gunter takes leave of the constable and heads back to the bar. Seeing Searos sulking at the table and sizing up the coin purses of the three other customers, he strides over and heavily flops himself down into a chair opposite the thief.

"Well that was a waste of time...you're up. She said feel free to have another drink before heading over though. She has nowhere else to be."

[Kafen]

"Soooo, lovely weather we are having." Reller says as he leans back. Sighing, he watches the people run around the tavern.

[Jenara]

"What are you drinking?" Brax shouts over to the mage, ushering him towards the bar.

[Kafen]

Reller calls out. "Ale of some kind, I would think." He says to Brax. Moving over that way, he asks. "What do the underground elves drink if I may ask?"

[Jenara]

"My people." She scoffs, "The drink many things, we have a penchant for wines, and drinks brewed from mushrooms and other fungi." Brax responds, "They also have a taste more exotic items.."

[Kafen]

"Interesting, I daresay that I know more about our aquatic brothers than our land based brethen." He remarks and leans on the bar. "I must admit to being curious as to what your group has planned, but it seems that nobody is interested in talking about it. So, I suspect that I will be back mending sails and burning out local nests when your group leaves."

[Stik]

"I always behave myself, Radiance. It's just that sometimes my behavior is sometimes...inappropriate." Martin replies, winking back. "But please yourself."

Martin looks to Searos. "She is quite free with the winks. If I didn't know better, I would think she were flirting with me. Perhaps she has something in her eye."
