"Aye." Val responds to Jocelyn. "It would be, but I don't expect any different reaction. And, it would cost us the advantage we have."

Turning to Ouragana, she goes on. "I don't let them into the bush, but out of camp would be good."

"Perhaps I could be bait?" Arei says with a grin that could be seen as sarcasm, in certain light.

"Can't we just rush in there?" Jocelyn asks. "The more you talk about this, the more complicated it gets."

"Grey said there was a palisade, so rushing them is difficult" Ouragana reminds them. "And who would »we« be?"

Dalaim looks between Areilon, Val, Ouragana and Jocelyn, trying to follow the conversation, until finally he shakes his head and squeezes the bridge of his nose, lifting up his glasses in the process. "Hold now," he says softly. "That's enough. Does this group have no leader to make these kinds of decisions? It seems you are all going in circles."

Looking to Jocelyn, he says, "Forgive me for saying so, Jocelyn, but rushing in is not very wise. You said before you were out of healing prayers--as am I. Thus, we should be careful to avoid injury until we can replenish them."

Then he looks to Ouragana and Val. "A distraction may be prudent, but luring them here is not. They have the advantage of terrain, where as we would fight better in a clearing than here in the brush. Besides, if they see your glowing lights, they will likely become suspicious and heighten their guard, if they choose to follow them at all."

Finally, he adds to Areilon, having apparently taken her completely seriously, "And while a noble gesture, any bait would likely not survive the encounter."

Taking a moment to ponder it over, he says, "This is my suggestion. Grey here can circle around to the other side of their camp and lay in wait. If any attempt to escape, he can cut them down. As Miss Areilon is injured, she may remain here and watch our backs by calling out if anything tries to sneak up on us. The rest of us will approach from the front; I will ask Gonto's blessing beforehand.

"Miss Ouragana can possibly climb a nearby tree, allowing her a better vantage point. She can cast her distraction on the fireplace, hopefully startling the tribals while we move in, if she likes. Either way, from up there she can call out support. For instance, if she sees someone in need, or someone about to be attacked from behind, she can call this out, so the rest of us know.

"The orc, Master Hammerfeld and myself will then move in and attack. The palisades may hinder our ranged weaponry, but they won't stop up from close combat, if we can get close enough. Jocelyn can stay behind us, acting as an emergency medic if anyone is badly hurt; this way she need not kill any of the tribals herself."

He looks again to each of them. "This satisfies everyone, I hope?"

"We are find ourselves, but thank you." Arei bows painfully to Dalaim, "You are indeed an honorable and wise individual." Drawing her blade despite her wounds she nods "I will cover the rear."

"Yes of course" Ouragana says simply and starts looking for a suitable tree.

"Then gather around," Dalaim says. Holding up his holy icon, he says, "Gonto, Guardian of Order, grant us your blessing so that we may bring order to chaos." The icon glows with a soft green light that expands, and then envelops the whole party. A feeling of confidence grows within them, as Gonto bolsters their courage and luck.

"Let's move out then," he says.

Grey nods and slips back into the brush. Ouragana follows, but rather than circling around, she finds a nearby tree that can give her a good vantage point and starts to climb. There are plenty of footholds for her, so she has little difficulty in reaching the top. From there, she peaks through the boughs and leaves to look upon the camp.

Sure enough, she sees a large campfire, a couple of crude tents made from animal hide, and some hide stretched between poles to serve as a crude palisade. She also spots four tribals, two men and two women, at the camp. They seem to not yet suspect they are in any danger.

While Grey sneaks around back, the rest of the party (save Areilon) sneaks forward, anticipating Ouragana's signal.

Dalaim casts Bless on the party. Everyone receives a +1 to hit and a +1 to fear-based saves.
Ouragana makes a climbing check (1d100): 54, pass. She climbs the tree.

Arei finds a tree, and rests quietly, blending into the shadows.

Dalaim continues to creep closer, gesturing for Val and Oren to do likewise. He looks around, wondering what is taking Ouragana so long. He gestures again at the others, letting them know that they may need to attack without the mage's distraction.

Val sneaks up as best as she can, hoping to get a couple of arrows off before switching to her trident. Looking for a target or two, she gestures to the dwarf that she was ready.

Finding herself a safe spot, such as the fork of a large branch, Ouragana prepares to cast her spell. When she sees everybody is ready and Val gesturing, takes out something out of her belt puch. Brandishing it, she makes a series of gestures and quietly utters words, too softly for anyone to hear. Suddenly, a vaguely human form seems to emerge from the campfire, shimmering and translucent. It steps out of the fire and begins to turn around it.
