Re: The Sarcophagus Legion VI
"I am pleased to meet you both. I wish the circumstances were better. Many of these people are different to what we know. But some are nice." Looking at their legs he frowns. "I hope you are enjoying being free for a while? They will not disturb us for some time. The thought of people doing things to you turns my stomach. I don't really want to leave you."
"Interesting things?" he knew what a Kender meant by that.

Re: The Sarcophagus Legion VI
The two kender discussed with Jerrard some of the 'interesting' things and people they had encountered. He learned they were both from Kendermore, to the east. Both were on wanderlust, and had met up in Khur with a few other kender. They were uncertain whatever became of their companions, but assumed they moved on some time after they were separated.
As they talked, the two kender walked around, stretching their legs and enjoying their very brief reprieve from being locked up.
The hour passed quickly, and Jerrard realized soon he would need to depart or pay for another hour.

It is currently Fifth Watch (11:00 AM).

The Mage frowns, distracted. "I have to leave you soon. If I stay too long I will arouse too much interest." he reluctantly goes to stand. "I know its hard to do, but please trust me. I have not hurt you or do things to you. I trust that is enough."
"I plan to return in the morning to discuss buying you." he really doesn't want to leave, if he spent anymore time, he'd find someone else to save. "Until then." he opens his arms, offering a hug. "I will bring my friend tomorrow."

After saying farewell, Jerrard steps outside. The guards, who had been waiting nearby, immediately come over to rechain the kender and lead them off.
Returning to the waiting room, he is joined by Thuskar a few minutes later.

Re: The Sarcophagus Legion VI
"Good?" Jerrard mouths to Thuskar as he reappears from the room.
Looking for the 'madam' Jerrard approaches her, folding his hands. "They were acceptable, I will discuss this further with your husband. When should I arrive?"

Re: The Sarcophagus Legion VI
"Anytime after Third Watch, stop by," the madam says. "If he is in, he will see you then."
Re: The Sarcophagus Legion VI
"Thank you." He bows, heading out of the building and into the street. "So? Was she well treated?" He asks the Warrior after some time. "I do not want a blow by blow, just that you got what you wanted, and she was well cared for." He says as he walks back to the Inn.
Re: The Sarcophagus Legion VI
"Well, she's not a slave," Thuskar says. "She's an exile or something like that. She wouldn't say why, but she had to leave home so came here. She says she makes really good money. Apparently less than half of the workers there are slaves, although she didn't say which ones were which."
Re: The Sarcophagus Legion VI
"The Kender are, I plan to free them, they cut off their hands and now they are forced to perform horrible acts for 'clients' " He shakes his head in disbelief. "Children? What sort of sick.?" He says as they walk back, Thuskar seemed happy, he couldn't enjoy the idea of that.
Re: The Sarcophagus Legion VI
Thuskas does seem relaxed and nowhere nearly as put-off as Jerrard about the situation. "The world is an ugly place," Thuskar says. "You don't grow up in a place like Blödehelm without learning that. I hear even Palanthas has a slum."
Re: The Sarcophagus Legion VI
"It does, but, coming face to face with it, it is rather scary." He admits, "Its not something I have ever seen or experienced, I couldn't do what you just did my friend." He pats him on the shoulder.
Re: The Sarcophagus Legion VI
Thuskar laughs. "You couldn't do what? Relax long enough to get your play on? I believe it. You're the most uptight, tense fellows I've ever met." He stops suddenly, then laughs again. "Okay, okay. Second most. Ulster is probably the first. You two have a lot in common like that. Must be your Solamnic blood." Seeing the surprised look on his face, Thuskar says, "Oh, you didn't know? Ulster's great-grandfather was from Solamnia. His family fled to Blödehelm to avoid persecution."
Re: The Sarcophagus Legion VI
"I find issue in paying for such a service, I think." He blushes, "I may have found someone I like, but it is complicated." He stops in his tracks at this new information, "Ulster originates from Solamnia? Interesting.
He walks back to the inn slowly, thinking of Beautiful Dancers.

The two men return to the inn to await the return of the others from their shopping trip.

Imani is sitting in the main room once Jerrard and Thuskar return. She actually seems a little surprised that everyone was gone when she returned. In the in it gave her more time to think about her situation.
