Pyros won't worry about a meal, especially since riding on a horse makes it easy to grab a ration.
He will also be slowly and carefully sorting some of his pocket trinkets, and making sure the mice have some food.

Kybalion will be in the first third of the group. Rangers in his thinking should be point since this is there regular operating grounds. Horses and boots may mar any tracks or signs of ambush that might alert an observant ranger. He will keep alert for bandits looking to ply their illicit trade on travelers.

Karl still has it yes.

Mira will walk in the middle near Bayard. Karl will hold Bayards reins as they walk.

Pyros peruses his pocketses as the party plods along. He goes to feed his pet mice, but realizes they are gone! Jerry soon recognizes the Kender's concern and produces the pair. don't fret, friend. I have been looking after them. She says with some small amusement.

The group crosses the bridge and continues down the valley as the scent of impending rain tickles the air, foothills to a larger mountain range becoming visible to the NorthEast. A few more hours along the road and a slight overcast begins to fill the sky to the North, along with a chill breeze coming down from the hills. Another hour or so of travel and an almost wall-like roll of dark clouds threatens to fill the horizon. Gradually the weather degrades as a chill returns and even the drizzle of rain begins in fits and spurts.

Mood sour as the day, and the wind has turned cold, strong, and looks to be blowing up a powerful storm. The last blood red rays of the sun begin to fad behind the looming black hills. Wild flowers have given way to thick underbrush and brambles. As darkness begins to sink across the valley, a brilliant flash of light that glints off of the window of a small keep a quarter mile or so up ahead. According to the instructions given you by Akriel, this is the Keep of Dr. Dominiani.

The rain really has no effect on his mood. Pyros enjoys his half eaten carrot.

"Look! We are almost there!"

Cross silently walks along in the middle-ish of the group.

Cooler weather tends to lift the spirits of Kybalion. Being from the more northern lands, it at least makes him feel a tad more comfortable. "I should have taken some of the pelts from that room we found. They would be useful out here." The light in the distance puts him on alert. We should be careful. We may be watched as we move."

Esker Manyblades

Esker will stay close to the front, watchful for game tracks and keeping an eye out for any travelers we might meet along the way.

Iscind Aranya

Likewise, Iscind will join her shield brother in the front looking for any tracks or sign of foes his old, bloodshot, hungover eyes might miss.

The ominous clouds overhead grow darker and nearer as the shadows in the canyon lengthen like long tendrils of darkness reaching out for the unwary. The storm brings darkness early, Gregor struggles to get a torch alight but with some effort manages to do so. Elsa likewise lights another, but the flames sputter and flicker in the building wind. Suddenly, a great flash splits the sky and a second later the prodigious clap of thunder rocks the valley with echoing refrain.

As the party's eyes struggle to overcome the blinding glare of the storm's first eruption, there is a motion beside the path. A large bush seems to explode as if hit by a powerful spell, and a huge creature springs forth to the center of the path. Without the illumination of the storm, it is impossible to see anything but the gleam of two great tusks and a pair of eyes burning in the torchlight... A second flash of lightning, even more intense than the first, splinters through the sky overhead revealing the creature to be a great boar. With a snort and a squeal, it turns and flees up the path. In the last instant before it turned, it seemed that there was something akin to intelligence in its eyes. But, of course, that is impossible...

Kybalion watches the boar with the unusual eyes race away from the group. It didn’t attack and with the reduced visibility he will let those with eyes better suited for such things track it.

Before the surprise of the sudden encounter wanes a figure of huge, hairy beast bursts from the brush uphill; vaulting over the members in the back of the party. It lands behind the group with a bone-chilling snarl as this new horror of the woods of Gundarak is revealed to be a tremendous wolf the size of a horse! Evil eyes glint with each stroke of lightning in the sky. Its mouth hangs open, revealing a long row of lethal fangs, and something in its gaze tells you that it will kill before the night is out. With a howl that sounds almost like a battle cry, the monster charges!

Esker Manyblades

Esker is so focused on the boar and its sudden appearance and disappearance that he at first is distracted and doesn't realize the wolf is upon them. He draws his sword thinking the boar would he his target but apparently the wolf has other ideas.

Initiative: [1d10]=7
Attack: [1d20]=1
