He could probably attach it to a necklace in some way. Being a jewler i'm sure he has settings and such he could use for that

Sounds good! Thanks!
Those are some truly cursed AI images there, Bish! They look semi-okay at first glance, but as soon as you give them a closer look, you start realizing how much is wrong with them.
Steve, Stephen - either one. When he's feeling formal he goes by Stephen. He'll answer to either.

@Bish:
Might Idea, Genius, or Divine Inspiration be useful for the clawed hands?

Re: Labyrinth OOC
Well, I don't have might idea, but genius and co. are my best friends, so yeah, when we are there I'll try to use them. That or send an army of skeletons to tear them down...

Re: Labyrinth OOC
Oh, wait... you meant 'idea' not 'might idea', sure this is a good 'idea'

Yeah, I meant "Might" in the "Is it possible" meaning.
So now we've got a giant ball of blood that apparently crosses the wall of force. Well, we could try diving through the blood ball. We could have Axid try Disintegrating the "wall of force".
We could maybe get an Augury on if diving into the ball of blood is a good idea?
Re: Labyrinth OOC
Divining on a Ball of Blood held magically in a wall of force, that was "cut" from stone hands.
That sounds like a good idea...

Right metal hands that he managed to make bleed... even better....

Re: Labyrinth OOC
Did you mean 'diving' or 'divining' there? I fear the 'diving' may be required, but I'd prefer to try the 'divining' first, to prevent untimely death. This is where a quick augury could be useful: "Will trying to enter the 'ball of blood' be helpful or harmful?"

Re: Labyrinth OOC
A quarter-mile is 1320 feet. Add a 380-foot drop and, via Pythagoras, we've got a total distance of about 1373 feet or very roughly 460 yards. Or 420 meters for any of you lucky enough to live in a country that uses a sensible system of measurement.TristenC wrote: ↑Wed Feb 12, 2025 10:34 am Absolute straight-line distance?
At least 800 ft, probably closer to 1,100 ft. The winding passage down isn't direct but it's about 1/4 mile long to the stairwell, then the 300 ft drop to the snake head room, then I think it was 80ft+ down to the next floor.

Re: Labyrinth OOC
That assumes the 1/4 mile is straight and doesnt double back or wind around in any way, which this one does b/c it is a natural cavern. And the 'straight line distance from surface point to point underground cuts some of that
So in this specific case, 800 to 1100 ft

Re: Labyrinth OOC
^ Good enough for me!
Did anyone manage to Identify the magic items brought back?
Are there particular spells people would like prepared before our next venture into the Labyrinth?
Steve wouldn't say "no" to a casting of Invisibility, and an Augury or two could come in handy. Glitterdust or Invisibility Purge (not certain if that one is a 2E spell or not) could be useful for making it easier for when the invisible trolls (or whatever it happens to be) make a 'reappearance'.
Could we get a Divination to ask if any of the opposition in the Labyrinth would be subject to Hold Person? If so, that could be a good spell to prepare. Hold Monster would probably be a good choice as well.
Slow is always a good choice, too. I prefer it to Haste, since Slow on your enemies is like Haste on yourself, but it affects your spells/psionics as well, which Haste doesn't! Does Haste's aging effect require a System Shock roll to survive?
Do we have any spare Continual Light pebbles?
Could we acquire a few more 10-foot poles? We could each probably carry one as a walking stick. Well, Ke'Sha could carry a five-foot pole, anyway.
