Del feels her body grow sluggish and clumsy as waves of dull aches begin to roll over her. Every sensation of pain seems magnified somehow, though she can hardly move.

Mira and Del can tell it is probably some sort of delayed onset poison (most likely from the assassin's blade). It seems probable that it was intended to work sooner, and Del is very lucky to have made it to the inn before it started. Whether or not it is intended or has the potential to be fatal is unclear.

Oh gods... poison?! Elsa starts. I can help, my gam taught me herbs, you just hold on, ok?! Elda says. In a flurry of movement she roots through her bags, digging out herbs and tools for preparing them. She instructs Karl to have hot water brought so she can make a tea. Don't worry, ok Del? We've got you.

"Poison? Most foul. Most foul indeed." The Knight does as requested to protect the Lady, heading downstairs he asks Mira to aid him asking for Hot water and returns as quick as he can. He sits supporting her, his hands in a respectable position at all times.

"Elsa I have learnt is very capable, she will look help you." The Knight explains in his formal common, keeping near her.
" Kid never learned to clear a room. Doors and corners, I told him. Doors and corners."

"Is Everything alright?" Sabrina asks as she places a hand on Mira's shoulder, "One day I will have to know where all these people come from and how it is you know how to talk to them." Waving a finger at Mira she resumes her meal as the Bard heads off to help Karl.

"Maybe, yes, no, I'm not sure. Del, that woman, she was hurt and Elsa is dealing with it." Finishing her own meal she looks around, realising half the bar was empty, shaking her head she sighs. "Slim pickings on Tips tonight.. Probably due to the rain, but.. we do what we must." Her mind was partly still on Del and what she had said, as weird as it was.

"Hurt? Oh no.. That poor woman, at least she is being looked after! I ummm have to admit that having less people is.. umm easier, much easier." she flushes a little, but glad she had the experienced Mira next to her.

"I understand, you are doing great, really great. Just follow my lead. And we'll be fine." Resuming her position on the stool she begins to play slowly, with Sabrina making slow claps, the slow song gradually rising to a fast gypsy style number, the lute resting on her knee.

When it becomes time for her set to end she slows her pace and strums a soft melody, the music hangs in the air for a moment.. The words start in Harmonian.

”Mon luth éveillé! effectuer le dernier
Travail que toi et je vais perdre,
Et à la fin que je avons commencé;

Ma chanson peut percer son cœur dès;

Comme elle mon costume et de l'affection;

Pliquant en vain vers la lune;
Ton souhaite donc oserait pas être dit;

Pour provoquer tes amants soupirent et se pâment;

She lets the last note hang, her voice breaking she repeats the last line in common.

”Now cease, my lute; this is the last
Labour that thou and I shall waste,
And ended is that we begun.
Now is this song both sung and past:
My lute be still, for I have done.”

Lowering her head she puts down the lute and sits in silence, her mind on the poor Girl that lay upstairs.
" Kid never learned to clear a room. Doors and corners, I told him. Doors and corners."

Delsenora leans against the wall and closes her eyes, as she sits on the floor.

Opening them , she grins slightly "Thanks for any help you can offer, it is much appreciated," she says

in common and elvish, exhaling slowly afterwards.

Karl

'Understand, my honour is important to me. I live by two edicts, The Oath and the Measure. 'Est Sularas oth Mithas' translated from my Native Tongue it means 'My Honour is my life.' It is my duty to Protect you, and Lady Mira, plus apparently Miss Sabrina also. Such protection extends to Lady Elsa and Geraldine. Yet I am starting to see that not all women need protection." He strokes his Moustache thoughtfully.

"Not every person be they man or woman are the same,,, each have different competences and abilities"

Delsenora yawns and stretches very slowly, grunting with a little pain. "I guess an assassin's posion will do that to you"

she smiles. "I'm usually pretty careful, but Assassin and two lackeys, well you know. I did get in a few good licks."

Elsa fixes up a tea for Del, shaking her head. I'm afraid it's done most of what it will do, but at least that means it wasn't meant to kill. This tea should help ease the pain a little. she adds. I don't see a lot of poisons but this one seems weird. Why would anyone want to paralyze someone and then make everything more painful? If it had the full effect you wouldn't even be able to speak, so it's not like they could interrogate you...

Delsenora looks at Elsa.

"The answer is very simple. This assassin , who killed my mother, has it in for my father and his family.

My father belongs to an organisation of good on my world. I am presuming he must have foiled the Zhentarim's plans once too many

and it was decided he should pay. Best way for them to get revenge, get rid of his family. My mother was first, I was next. I know

for a fact that father has protective spells on my two brothers in case they get into trouble due to his enemies. He never got around

to putting one on myself or mother."

Sighing, she continues.

"She told me herself she wanted to give me a long and painful death and that father was next. She better be prepared and

bring help because he is quite powerful individual."

Elsa shakes her head at the tale, injustice and sadness plain on her face. Well they won't get you here. You're among friends. she assures her.

The tea seems to be helping with the symptoms, and after half an hour or so, the pain is nagging but bearable. You definitely need rest, and you may have some trouble with finer motor functions until a good night's sleep. However, if you still want to listen to the music, we can help you get downstairs for the rest of the show. That should be ok. she adds, cheerfully

Delsenora smiles warmly. "Thank you Elsa. You people have gone above and beyond for me, a stranger. It is much appreciated.

If it isn't too much trouble I would really appreciate seeing Mira and Sabrina sing and perform. Let me stand and see how I feel. I'd like to make it down

on my own if I can."

She leans back on the wall, and slowly pushes herself up to stand, a little unsteady but firm. Grinning, she removes her short sword from her belt,

in its scabbard. Using it as a crutch she slowly moves towards the door, looking at Elsa and Karl. "Well, are you coming? Or do I need

to drag you down there?",
she says with tongue in cheek.

As the performer completes her current piece, Gregor slips through the door and examines the room for an open booth (preferably) or a more secluded table. Noting an unoccupied one, Gregor walks to it nonchalantly and settles. Nodding to the waitstaff as they note his arrival, he positions himself to hide any sign of his wound. Glancing around the room while he waits for a server, he evaluates the audience and notes potential escape routes. "A pint of stout and some of that fine smellin' stew, lass", Gregor requests with a small but cordial smile. "And what would be the damage for such 'fore I run up a tab I can't afford?"

Is there a preference/guide for color selections in dialogue?

Gregor sees a halfling helping a dark haired human woman fown the stairs and into the common area. No guide for color selections in dialogue really. I typically stick with one color for each important npc and make the rest red. ]

A young lady stops by within a few moments to take his order, but doesn't seem to understand his words. The halfling's ears perk up when the two pass nearby. Oh, they don't speak common here. Um... I think the stew is 1 silver and the stout is 4 copper. I prefer mead, myself, but their stout is pretty good! she says, cheerfully.

Pardon my butting in but... you aren't from Kartakass are you... she offers

Much obliged miss, Gregor thanks the halfling. If it wouldn't be imposing too much, could ya place me order and a mead for yourself for the trouble. Gregor preemptively digs two silver coins from his pouch and sets them on the table.

No, I've never heard of Kartakass though I've been told there are some establishments here in Thel Jeers that cater to travelers from the outlands. I'm surprised at no common though. Must restrict their business - assuming that is no their wish.

Oh sure, i can order for you. She fumbles a little with the foreign language but eventually the waitress gets the gist and moves off to prepare the order.

Wait, you know Thel Jeers! she says excitedly. Tugging Del (the woman beside her) arm she grins widely. I hate to be the one to break it to you, but... well you aren't exactly back home anymore... Her pretty face takes on a look of compassion. I've been stranded here for... about a month, I guess. I'm originally from Meadville, which is the halfling town off a day or two West of Thel Jeers. I've been there once, when i was younger and helping my ol gaffer bring the honey to market... erm... I'm rambling, aren't I. Sorry.. she blushes slightly and changes tack.

Listen... I know this will sound odd, but... somehow you aren't in the Sun Kingdom any more... Your'e in a town called Skald in the country of Kartakass... several of us here are stranded as well. She indicates the woman she is standing there with as well as elf, half-elves and the human knight sharing a booth, and the red-haired performer. We're not exactly sure how... something to do with the mists... Anyway, we've been trying to find a way home for a while... she pauses, letting it all sink in
