Act 3 Scene 1: Arrivals and Leavetakings

[Jenara]

(Mira wasn't being blunt, it just made her feel uncomfortable, reminded her of places she would rather have never been..)

"That sounds like a great idea, and neither will you." Mira takes a cloak, throwing it over her and making sure there is one suitable for Sabrina and Elsa, knowing that Karl will get his own. She walks to the inn, one arm wrapped around Sabrina's waist, the other remaining near Elsa.

Karl stays at the front, his hand on his sword hilt, watching each street and alley as he does so.

(I'm assuming the rain is reducing the amount of small talk they can have as they walk?)

(ok, gotcha. Yeah, that was my misread)

The storm outside proves to still be in full force, cutting conversation for the time being. Before long the group finds themselves back at the Broken Wheel, where a warm fire is already going to combat the damp.

[Jenara]

"Finally out of that rain." Removing the Poncho she folds it over her arm, looking for a place to hang it safety, when she finds one she helps Sabrina remove hers while Karl does the same for Elsa.

Her hand wrapped firmly around the blondes she leads her towards the bar, looking for the others.

Once divested of the heavy cloaks, Mira moves to the bar. The same sullen young man as before is behind the counter. There is no sign yet of Jerry and Merrick, though they had their own errands. Cross is in the common area, his raven perched on the back of the booth in which he sits. Perhaps the most disturbing realization is that there is currently no sign of the kender... gods only know what he could be up to.

At this mid afternoon hour the commons are fairly sparse of other people.

Groaning at the lack of Kender and whatever he could be up to Mira raises a Hand to Cross in greeting, "Hi, I won't ask where Pyros is.. This is Sabrina, she is staying with me tonight. Well us because I assume you are sharing too Elsa?" She asks as she surveys the commons.

"I sing later tonight, so might head upstairs and sort my things, coming?" She asks the Blonde, still grasping her hand.

Cross waves, while Fenrir picks at his feathers with his beak; eyeing the others as they engage the white-haired elf. Oh?! looking around he blinks. Funny, I've no idea when he scampered off... hmm... you see I was re-reading these notes Adran had about his mentor. noting Sabrina he smiles. Oh yes, I remember. One of your fans, right? I think you are beginning to gather a following. he smiles.

Elsa sloghs off her raincoat and hangs it with the others on the pegged plank near the door. Smiling, she makes her way to the fireplace to dry any remnants from before. Hmm? Share? Oh sure, no problem. It'll be a sleepover. she giggles.

Sabrina waves at the others, speaking her simple version of Elven. Oh yes, I remember. Oh the music is so nice! I am glad to see you again! she adds in an upbeat tone.

"Its probably trouble that we will end up dealing with." Mira answers in regards to Pyros. "Fan? Sabrina is my friend." She answers Cross in no uncertain terms. "Shall I ask them to bring the beds together BEFORE we enter the room this time?" She adds with a giggle in Elsa's direction.

"You learnt more Elven?! I'm very impressed, I expect Coraline taught you?" She asks noting the expression on Karl's face when the Pretty Elf was mentioned.

Karl gives them all a greeting, "I am going to remove my Armor, and I will join you shortly. Which room was mine?" He asks, waiting for the key.

Cross smiles, Well it's nice to see you again. he adds to Sabrina. The white haired Elf then passes Karl a key and gives him direction to his room.

Sabrina blushes at the praise, She helped me a little, but she says all us humans seem to ignore the tone. Your use of Elven sounds so musical, though. She says, You should help me. I want to get better but... well, Coraline doesn't really have time for me. She stays pretty busy.

[Jenara]

Karl heads up to his room, removing his armor and pondering the actions that got him here.

Leading Sabrina to their room she lowers herself on the bed, patting the place next to her.

"Ahh, Elves are ALWAYS like that, they think they are so beautiful and they have the corner on musical languages. Harmonian is a beautiful language, it flows so well. I guess thats why you learnt Elven so well." Squeezing the Girls hand she gives a sheepish and very un-Mira like expression. "I missed you, I hope this isn't too.... well, look you weren't far from my Thoughts and you were definitely in my dreams." She flushes. "I want to teach you so many things if you will let me." Her head down, she doesn't meet the girls eyes, not yet.

Sabrina follows and sits beside the bard. Aww, you're too sweet. You know I really think learning Elven will help me have better opportunities. I always dreamed of being a singer or something, you know like you do as a little girl. But there are so many really talented singers here, I'd never stand out. I was thinking of saving some money waitressing to attend one of the colleges, but I don't think I'll ever make enough... besides, my sweetie... well I think he is getting more serious about us. There is just so much going on.

As Mira goes on, the girl shakes her head. Aww, I missed you too! We have such fun together! I dream, sometimes, that my dream of becoming a musician isn't quite out of reach just yet... I mean, like if I had a tutor or something I could get started and sort of... she gestures with one hand, searching for the right words. I don't know... practice I guess. Like, build up to it. Even if I never get the chance to be a performer, maybe if I had something to practice I wouldn't feel so much like a cart with one wheel stuck in the mud.

[Jenara]

"If you think about it, learning Elven has already gotten you to be able to talk to my friends. Now.. most singers are taught, they practice, they work at it. I had to learn." She smiles, patting her leg. "Let me teach you." She states out of the blue. "While.i am here, I can teach you, you already have this.." she waves her hand in the girls direction, pointing to her body. "You have the looks.. and you have this amazing cute thing going for you. I can teach you what you want to know."

Her face falls slightly at the mention of Sabrinas Sweetie, "Did you show him the Bodice?.I bet he loved it.."

You.. you'd reallly help me? she asks, excitedly. I know my notes, and scales and some basic music theory, but all the extra... panache... I just don't know how to make it my own. I've always heard you have to do that. And I'm just not comfortable in front of crowds, really. she blushes. It's a little silly, isn't it? A performer afraid of crowds... she sighs. Maybe i'm just fooling myself...

When asked about the bodice, Hmm? Oh, yes he was very excited. It had a... certain effect. she giggles. Of course that next day was when he started talking about us being more serious... The blonde waitress' eyes seem to fade from amused to a little forlorn. But how can I ever live my dream if I we settle down here? I'd never stand out in a place such as this.

[Jenara]

"Of course I want to help you? I see something in you. I have since the moment i first met you, I knew you were destined for something more. Knowing you know music makes everything else easier, AND explains a few things. Having flair comes with confidence, and I know you have some tucked away in there." she places a finger against the younger womans heart. "We start by you performing for me, and maybe Elsa? She won't know all the words but she will know that you are trying. Music can move you regardless of language."

"So, it had the effect you wanted, and now you aren't sure its what you really want?" She pats the Girls leg squeezing without realising she was doing it, "This place, its a performers dream in someways, and in others its a nightmare. You can be known, if you know the right people, or you have shall we say a hook? I'm mysterious, am I going to steal your Sweetheart and whisk them away in the night using my Gypsy Magic?" She ponders, and pauses.

"They know you here, thats good in a way, you are beautiful and sweet. You could get somewhere... I just had a thought, what if...?" She pauses again, needing to find the words and the courage to voice them. "What if.? We moved on together? Two exotic women, sleeping under the stars, charming them and leaving the next day...?" She flushes, realising she was going to say so much more. "I.. Sorry, you probably don't want to do that, just a silly thought of mine."

It's not that I'm not sure about him, he's such a sweetie... and strong and kind... I'm just... I just feel like I need a chance to explore the world and... and do the things I love before I get tied down... Is that bad? I don't think I could stand not knowing if I had what it takes to become what I feel I'm destined to become...

The girl gasps and flushes, covering her mouth with her hands. You mean... you want... to let me perform with you! Ohmygosh Idon'tbelieve it! You'd take me as your apprentice!? The girl seems almost overwhelmed. If... if I could learn from you and you let me back you up in some smaller performances I could really learn quick! I know I could! Sabrina throws her arms around the bard's shoulders in a tight hug. Oh thankyou thankyou thankyou! Pulling back she wipes moisture from her eyes with her sleeve and blushes a little at her own display. Sorry... Here I was thinking it was going to be my fate to never know and now you are all but offering me my dream on a silvered platter. she laughs, squeezing Mira's hand.

Back in the common area Jerry and Merrick return, having sold the loot from the last few days. They soon distribute it amongst
