Re: Return [To Madness]: Act 1, Scene 2
Jack keeps careful watch on the stairs, checking as he goes while Landro keeps an eye out for any danger. All the while swelterinf hot air pours up the passage past the two as the huge fire elemental follows behind them.* The stairway switches back and forth between a few landings, rising some 60 feet or so until it comes to a 90 degree turn leading to a small 10x20 room with an open door on one side.
Peeking through the door, it takes a few seconds for Jack to realize he recognizes the room as the Landing above the statue that hid the first sigil!
===
*Very uncomfortable being above it, but not harmful per se

So this is that door across the pit, that we didn't bother much with before. Does it just open from this side? Our notes say it was Wiz locked from the other side.
Happy with being back in familiar territory, he will start retracing his tracks. 4 > 2 > 3> 5, marking anything new, and mentally telling the group.
Did we leave a way down to the statue part of room 4?

Re: Return [To Madness]: Act 1, Scene 2
[I think the party found and opened it before to this 10x20 room but it was an apparent dead end at that time. There is a walkway across the pit activated by levers in this room and across the pit. Pulling either of the levers deactivated the wizard lock and allowed them to enter iirc.]
Jack retraces his steps through the rooms, finding things mostly the same until he reaches the troll room. Opening the door he finds evidence of incenerated troll parts and bedding seemingly closed off and left alone. Apparently the previous elemental had a field day in here and the keepers of the Labyrinth decided now was not the time to clean up. The stench of burned troll is absolutely prodigious here.
The Odd Transport (Hands that create the blood bubbles) seems to remain the only way down to the statue room without using the newly discovered stairs

"At least we don't have to ride down in that any longer. Jag lent me the fly spell last time. Do you still have rope to lower me down that pit, with the statue?" Speaking to Landro.

Re: Return [To Madness]: Act 1, Scene 2
Landro nods and produces a very thick rope (like gym class
). I can anchor it for you as well
Re: Return [To Madness]: Act 1, Scene 2
Jack will slither the rope around himself and tie it off.
"Ok big guy, don't swing me around too much."
He will then lower himself over the edge, and check out the walls and statue for anything new.
(This is where we got a sigil before behind the hands?)

[Yeah, the first sigil was behind one hand, i think the bridge lever was behind the other.]
Jack slips down using the rope with a practiced ease. Everything below seems much the same as before

"Ok, up we go and then up the ladder I guess." He will go up to the ladder then think.
Looking at the elemental.
Could you stay father back from us as we climb the ladder? Then join us at the top once we are out of the way?"

Re: Return [To Madness]: Act 1, Scene 2
Jack and Landro return to the ladder where Jack poses his query. The eyes of pure-blue fire gaze back, expression impossible to read in the dancing flames
Re: Return [To Madness]: Act 1, Scene 2
"Well this will be unfortunate, if he climbs too close, and one of us slips, or he gets too close. Should we try anyway?"
Then in the mind link.
"Are you able to control your elemental at all from there? He was uncomfortable to climb up stairs in front of. I don't want to make rump roast for the group while going up this ladder."

[There is currently no mental link between the caster and the elemental. To change orders it must be done in person]

Stephen will pass Jag's request along to Ke'Sha, and Ke'Sha's approximate response (presumably what Tristan shared above) back to Jag.

[ooc] Some reason Bish is having trouble posting. He sent the following to me on another site. Will try to figure out what the posting issue is.[/ooc]
The return to the camp is fairly uneventful. (provided the Wormhole is made to be outside of the middle of camp itself such as in the cavern just before camp or the woods nearby)BishGada wrote: Hi. I have problem posting. I hope it will find you here..
"Err... no. But I commanded it to prevent any harm from you. So it should be safe... I guess." Ke'Sha says.
In camp borders:
Ke'Sha commands the undead to stay still. Lenna already seen the undead in camp, and he assumes the teleport will take them to the edge of the camp, not into its midst.
Still he keeps alert.

Sure, let's go with just inside The Labyrinth entrance. That way the demon and undead don't actually need to enter the camp.TristenC wrote: Fri Jul 24, 2026 7:04 pmThe return to the camp is fairly uneventful. Re: Return [To Madness]: Act 1, Scene 2
It cannot follow both of us if one stays still and the other moves. Perhaps I can lead it to another room while you ascend, and then I will return and try to outclimb it. Or if that proves impossible I may be able to endure the heat. Landro proposes
