Farewell, Jason. Perhaps you'll be able to return in time, if things settle down. Take care, until then.

Given the slow game time pace of this campaign, I might send Bastian off on a "quick side trip. Not very long, just a few days. Catch up to you before you get to the capital." sort of thing. That way we can bring him back when the need arises, without having too many NPCs hanging around. Should Jason/Ish return in a few months or a year, perhaps only a few weeks of game time will have passed.

Yet another crazy week at work.
I was at the office until 8 every night this week. Except Thursday, when I was here until 10:30.
And I'm in the office again today, just like last Saturday.

Spyguy
Good. You made it in.
If you skim though the Campaign Background thread and the House Rules/Character Generation thread, you'll a pretty good feel for the campaign.
Very briefly, the campaign is set in an empire in decline, one that has clung to long to old traditions rather than moving with the times. They're stuck in a 4th-5th century mindset while the rest of the world has moved on to a medieval 10th - 11th century model.
Given the society and tech level, a paladin isn't really a good fit. Besides, nobody needs the headaches that go along with paladins.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Welcome aboard.

The party looks pretty well rounded at the moment. The two new PCs are multiclassed, so we have all the classes covered, if we count the npc clerics. Bring whatever works for you, provided it fits the setting.
Several party members are guild mercenaries, and the guild hires all kinds of people. That's an easy "in" for the new PC.

Breila wrote:Liri had stepped back as Angel motioned her. Now, with everybody else concentrating on Maughus, she looks around to see of there's anything else that's suspicious.
And this is one of the reasons why I like you, Breila. You're always thinking a few moves ahead. :)
You'd do very well in a horror movie, because while everyone else is surprised by the psycho killer popping out from behind the clothesline, you'd be standing behind him with a club.

Thanks for jumping in, Jen.

Spyguy - I'll put together some info about the MageGuild and the theory of magic for you. It's nothing mechanically different from the written rules, just a slightly different way of explaining where magic comes from, info that every mage would know.
