Please tell me there is a way to turn off this forum's mouse curser and the like - its horrible.

Oh dear - it is either horrid curser or threads with the user picture on the right. Going to have to select the lesser of two evils ... just not sure which one it is.

Yes - I do. One minute I was on my way to a meeting with Baen and the next everything went dark, my stomach flip flopped and ... ... nothing ... just this grey mist ... any idea what happened and where I am?

If you want to, you can read through the game thread to catch up on what's been going on. Or maybe someone will volunteer to put together a very brief summary of the situation and post it here in OOC Chat (actually, that's something I would find very interesting, in order to see if what I have been trying to present has been coming across).

The very very short version: a very unusual corpse was found by some fishermen. Your party escorted a necromancer to the fishing village where it was found, and are now escorting the necromancer and the body to the nearest MageGuild chapterhouse for further study.

Yep - that is what I wanted - don't have to tax my imagination any with coming up with a character. I will try to skip the threads ... only have to wait around for the hurricane to turn up on Sunday so have some time to read.

Hey guys, I'm making the trip back to my place in China, so I'll probably be out of the loop for a few days. I'll also go back to having really spotty internet access. So if I disappear for a bit, I apologize. Never fear though, I'll resurface, given time.

When you mentioned battening down for the hurricane, Ruff, you reminded me that we're kind of neighbors. I mean compared to the rest of the crew here (England, Germany, China) you're right next door to me.

Hurrican Irene is due to hit Long Island on Sunday morning. Seeing as I now live about a mile north of the water, at an elevation of about 18' above sea level, this weekend could get a bit interesting.
If you don't hear from me, it is likely that power and/or internet service is down in my area.
