Legend:
This Great
Falchion’s name is Archmalese (slayer of monsters). Arch has been submerged
within Typiacon’s layer for almost 500 years passing, he was forged around
625 years ago by E’thesbian Soulforge, a local craftsman of old Estonia but
more predominantly known as an arch sorcerer of the Dyrmasian Order in old
Estonia. E’thesbian sought after a way to rid of the many horrendous creatures
which terrorized his homeland, his magic's and traps were not enough. With
this always atrocity always on his mind, he began the creation of a great
Falchion which could vanquish his enemy’s with a single blow. After spending
a considerable amount of time acquiring specific and somewhat dangerous components
for the swords ultimate power, he indulged in having the greatest of all swordsmiths
forge him a two handed great Falchion made of nearly solid adamantite. This
substance was extremely expensive and very hard to forge, thus forcing E’thesbian
to wait nearly a year for it’s completion, although the haste spell he cast
on the smith each day helped considerably.
Once
complete E’thesbian began fusing the Falchion's final components to it’s shell.
Melded black opal was used to craft the Falchion's handle, while rhino hide
served as a handle wrap and an eye from a beholder was used as the Falchion’s
pommel, which hosted the sword’s magical powers of vanquishing. After the
sword’s total construction was complete E’thesbian submerged it within a caldron
of liquid which adhered to the adamantite blade, thus amplifying the cutting
edge. At this such time E’thesbian couldn’t wait to administer his new sword’s
blade to the next beast which wondered into his local hometown. Within two
months just outside the cities' fields a local farmer screamed aloud for help
as his innards were squeezed from within his body.
Set
out for vengeance E’thesbian faced the creature with intent on having the
monster’s head upon the Falchion’s tip which he recently endowed with a life-force
and called it by name. The monster was not a familiar creature to E’thesbian
but he did not fear it since he held Archmalese by his side. The battle raged
on with E’thesbian suffering blow after blow from the beast which would not
die. Esthesbian struck the beast with mighty blows which slashed deep within
his foe, dropping it to the ground many times, to only have it recover and
attack again within minutes of a somewhat assured victory. After knocking
down the beast for the 5th time E’thesbian was forced to retreat back to town
to tend to the massive wounds he suffered from during the fight. E’thesbian
was very distraught with the outcome and cast Archmalese into a banish portal
(vanish spell) wishing to never see him again. The spell left Archmalese buried
within Typiacon’s horde, to be forever lost from E’thesbian’s grasp.

Nearly indestructible Archmalese has only one weakness this being the pommel

been magically protected with a permanent glassee spell. If ever this eye
should be shattered or crushed Archmalese’s special purpose would be lost.
