Description

Elflore, the land's of the Elven people. This massive region of Vastonia harbors some of the most beautiful and mysterious areas within the realm. Here grand lore is common and terrific stories are passed down through hundreds of generations. Many species of Elves inhabit these lands, however one common link binds them all together. This is their grand ruler, the king of Elflore. Generally the king passes down his title to his eldest son who shall rule over all the land, but this is not always possible and a new family can be elected into power.

During such times any powerful (socially) Elven family may announce their succession into power, however this is not for them to decide. This is left up to the high electors of each region to decide upon in a meeting place known as Justice Island. This island represents peace and safety for all and has become the central point for all Elven gatherings of great importance. One high elector from each Elven colony is requested to make this journey. Once there, talks begin and a suitable family is found and named into power. This families head is pronounced king of all Elflore and must immediately take asylum in the Crystal Castle of Minus Anthia. A grand celebration usually follows at the King's request and expense.

In Elflore almost all elves follow some sort of religious belief, either through their upbringing or by choice. These gods are always Elven, with a few rare exceptions. Elves take religion much more serious than most other races of the realm and usually build their lives around such faith and/or belief's. An elf without faith is generally frowned upon by most, thus leaving them to be judged and perhaps socially unexceptable.

Geography

A vast wilderland, covered in rolling hills, ancient forests, winding trails and intriguing mountain ranges. Some of the realm's most desirable locations can be found in this unforgettable kingdom. Elflore is home to the most famous architects/wood carvers in the world. Their workings can be witnessed throughout Elflore in a variety of locations. The most common of these marvels are the wood carvings made by Elven Wood Shapers. Many of these carvings are located within Quiliston, home of the Gray Elves. Others can be found in Kievistan, Eastern Sacranym and throughout the lower valley floor of Valisti. Other places of interest include the legendary MT Pelay, the icy Kagon MT's, the Island of the dead, the amazing Wood Elven colony, the Lands of Nothing, the Kagon Highlands and much more. Elflore is truly a place where adventures are made from.

Justice System

Justice within Elflore is dealt with in many fashions, as each Elven colony represents itself and it's own ideals. Quiliston, Valisti, Sacranyst and Sacranym all have a somewhat common set of laws, although they are enforced by a variety of different law officials (see Elven laws). The wild elves are much more lenient towards petty crimes then that of the other elves, however they are second to none in punishment towards violent or treacherous criminals. Losing your head is common for murdering another if found guilty.

Military/Forces

The current militia for Elflore consists of 3,000 men at arms stationed throughout the kingdom. Most of these men live within the heart of Valisti. An elite group of knight's (Paladins) known as the "Order of the Rose" (no relationship to ©Dragonlance) lead this core military force in times of war. However this order is considered above all, except that of the king himself. They are strictly devoted to the protection of the royal family, the kingdom and the people within (see knight codes for details). The Order of the Rose is stationed within the courts of the Crystal Castle and these men are bound to live amongst the royal family as part of a grand Elven tradition. Only the king himself can give orders to these individuals and if ever a time comes where the king cannot command this Order, the head of this knighthood Order assumes command automatically and shall lead the rest in whatever fashion he presumes exceptable.
