Description
In
the mid-center of the Human Kingdoms you will find Adania. Here some of Vastonia's
more infamous cities flourish. Recently Adania became an empire and now rules
over several of it's outlying kingdoms including, Vishtaghia (the old kingdom
of Arcane), and Pardamane, a newly established region. With minor intelligence
you may have guessed that Adania's capital city hosts the greatest population.
This city is known as Adan, which was named after Adania's recent king "Adan
Kylston".
Here
over 8,000 people live and work day to day within the kingdoms barren wasteland.
Most of which are merchants and peddlers of local commodities. The rest of the
cities within the kingdom include: Tarm "the most famous city of them all",
Shaymen, Ikis, Byshore, Rutling and Vistagh. All of these communities share
local resources and generally help their surrounding neighbors if need be.
The
people within Adania now struggle day to day just to make ends meet. The knights
and nobles of local establishments train vigorously and are constantly searching
out new trainees. The recent Orc wars had a great effect on all of Adania's
Kingdoms. Taxes, tolls, fiefs and other taxation's have almost doubled due to
the mass destruction which occurred. Nearly all of Adania's military forces
were rid from the face of the planet.
Food
however seems to remain abundant and the Kingdoms morale is higher than ever.
In recent days ( July 5th, 607 A.D.) King Adan Kylston passed away of natural
causes. This left his beautiful wife holding the thrown. She now seeks to marry
another worthy man and perhaps entitle him to the thrown. She has given word
of this throughout the kingdom and now awaits a man of true kingly status. If
no worthy man steps up to claim her hand in marriage she will pass the thrown
to the next available Kylston family head. This of course would be "Dern
Kylston" Adan's second oldest brother.
Like
any other great kingdom the general populace participate in many different occupations.
Some travel far and wide peddling their wares and some are more concerned with
getting food on the table. Many of Adania's cities are small farming communities
with plenty of resources and most of these cites are set within tall walls of
stone of wood. Precautions like this have been taken due to all of the kingdoms
prior invasions and it helps prevent unwanted thieves from looting unsuspecting
citizens and monsters from wandering into the midst of town.
Geography
A
kingdom covered in hard desert sands, dusty trail ridden plains and surrounded
by massive rivers and rolling hills. Adania borders Hannel, Hasheir, Vishtaghia
and Elflore making it very accessible from any direction. For this reason many
attempts have been made to overrun this peaceful kingdom, although all have
failed. However this does allow the kingdom many opportunities as well. Trading
rights with Elflore, Vistaghia, Hannel, Hasheir, Pardamane and the newly formed
kingdom of Mystaria make great alliance ties and should benefit Adania in times
to come.
Justice
System
This
is Adania's strong suit. Know to be a kingdom of fair and just punishments.
A man or woman accused of a crime must face a judge and jury of royal stature.
If found guilty they will be punished according to the Laws
of the land. Rightfully known as the laws of High Kingdom Standards (LHKS)
Military/Forces
Since
the wars, Adania's men at arms have been reduced by 80%, leaving the kingdom
with a few hundred soldiers and a fistful of valiant knights to protect the
lands from tyranny and oppression.
