Wolf-Shaman!

Wolf-Shaman are a rare, yet powerfully exciting character race found only within the dark continent of Rhuwythium. Their awesome skills and regenerative capabilities are generally more than enough to make them a favored choice of many player's.

Legend states that the Wolf-Shaman race derived from a powerful priest's misguided attempt at curing Lycanthropic infestation. Humans that suffered from the disease often sought help from a local cleric named "Vaskilren" who worked adamantly to discover a cure for induced Lycanthropy. Knowing that the disease was passed from werewolf to human, Vaskilren focused his studies towards discovering a full remedy, ne which would require a holy yet magical solution.

Vaskilren knew his experiments were bound to cause some sort of strange side effects until he could gain proper experience in dealing with such cases. However he avoided informing his patients of what might happen in fear of losing his superior status amongst the community. The people that put their fate into Vaskilren's hands, did so unaware of the priest's mental virtues and later found that Vaskilren's "so called remedy" took a turn for the worse. Seeing his failure, Vaskilren fled his establishment, leaving Githemoria never to be seen again.

It turned out that Vaskilren's experiments had partially worked. The infected people would change into the terrifying were creatures, but soon found they could control their rage and hunger for bloodshed. However this condition proved to be permanent and the victims would never see their Human forms again.

These bitterly feared people would no longer be hunted by locals. They would no longer have to seclude themselves and would no longer be forcibly confined to cages or prisons during hours of darkness. These people eventually were let back into society and would be considered friends by many. Over time the Wolf-Shaman people found they had other unusual qualities. Most recognizably their ability to regenerate from physical lacerations at an astounding rate. They also could see in complete darkness, much the same as Rhuwythium's Elven folk.

Overall the Wolf-Shaman are very powerful characters, but their personal traits and visual appearance often steer trouble their way. Make no mistake though, these people are more than a handful for most of the opposition.

Racial Traits

Wolf-Shaman have an undying hatred for all Lycanthropes not of their bloodline. They detest the thought of their very existence and will not hesitate to join any efforts that may rid of the creatures which their ancestor's originally fell victim too. Wolf-Shaman also shun other spell casters and watch over them with great caution. This is often attributed to the lore around Vaskilren's selfish mishaps.

Wolf-Shaman make it their passion to study clerical magic. Not only because of it's potency against their common foes, but rather because of the possibility of finding Vaskilren's long sought after remedy for Lycanthropy. A tradition they all follow in hopes of saving others from their ancestors sealed fate. The name Wolf-Shaman has been given to these people in retrospect of their bloodline and lifelong passion towards holy magic.

Physical Features

Wolf-Shaman vary in size and shape as much as their Human ancestors. They are completely covered in multicolored, wiry hair from head to toe, with only their palms and bottoms of their feet being exposed. Wolf-Shaman are quite strong due to their high metabolism levels, but have somewhat slender features. They average in height from 5'6 to 6'6, weighing anywhere from 167lbs to 250lbs. Their eyes are always red in color and always radiate in darkness. Wolf-Shaman live rather short lives, never exceeding 70 years. They reach maturity at a very young age, varying between 8-12 years old.
