Dwelves!

The Dwelven people are a cross breed of banished outcasts that evolved over the last 700 years in a kingdom to the west of southern Elflore called Beinti Udome, also known as the Banished Kingdom. Dwelves themselves are a cross between the Elven race (mostly high elves and a few wild elves) and a dwarven race known as "Earth Dwarves. This conjunction is quite strange indeed since it is commonly known that dwarves and elves simply do NOT get along, let alone fornicate. However...being forced into such extreme circumstances the two races didn't have much of a choice. Confinement and procreation was ultimately inevitable and thus the Dwelves evolved into a unique race cast amongst the many others within Vastonia. (See the Great Elven Banishment below)

The dwelves are a very wise and cautious race, never making hasty decisions. Dwelves make excellent teachers, but can be very impatient in waiting for the results. This quick tempered attitude can sometimes get in the way of a dwelf's good judgment and force them into doing something that a calm minded dwelf would never do. Dwelves generally inherit both of their ancestors traits, having a natural fun loving side. While still possessing a grumpy, somewhat strict attitude towards life in general. Dwelves are hated by almost all dwarven and elven races and are still treated "even to this day" as outcasts. This tends to make dwelves hate elves and dwarves in much the same manor and generally causes great friction between any racial interaction. Dwelves also make great miners and bladesmiths like their distant cousins but somewhat lack in other craftsmanship categories. All in all the dwelven race makes for an excellent well rounded character class.

The Great Elven banishment

All who opposed the new rulings of Elflore were exiled to MT. Stave, thus becoming the worst punishment in Elven History. Two magical doors were set beforth the entrance and forever sealed. These gates became known as the Gates of Damnation, locking all those who threatened the new rulings permanently exiled from the great elven kingdom.

For many generations a vast series of tunnels existed between MT Stave's lower caverns and the outer rim of Rhudar, connecting the two maintains where many dwarven far tunnelers were often encountered by the banished elves. It wasn't long after the banishment when a great quake caused the main linkshaft to collapse. This left many of the dwarves trapped amongst these elves, forcibly confining them for their homes as well. This indefinitely forced the two races to interact with one another on a regular basis...ensuring their survival. Over the next passing centuries the two races interbred and gradually evolved into a separate race now known as the Dwelves.

Physical Features

The dwelves are fairly stocky people ranging in height from 4'3 to 5' tall. They have no facial hair, slightly pointed ears and rough, rugged features. They weigh between 102 to 187 lbs. Their eyes can be of almost any color but typically are one of the darker shades. Dwelves generally live to be around 350 years of age (200+3d100).
