I just returned from a short vacation in New Orleans.
Here are a few things I learned:
In addition to the hard liquor they sell in gas station convenience stores, you can also buy wine in juice boxes.

The city is historic, but not every part of it.

If you have a vampire problem, you can get Holy Water for free at Our Lady of Guadalupe church (forget about paying 25GP for it)

but I'm not entirely sure it's legit

In case the picture is unclear, that's a spigot running through a Culligan water filter before entering the Holy Water font.

The waters of the Mississippi are actually brown rather than blue, owing to the large amount of silt the river picks up going through the heartlands.

Alligators are plentiful in the swamps (there are approximately 300,000 of them in Louisiana, that's one gator for each 15 people),

and they like to eat marshmallows

and they are tasty. (I had fried alligator for an appetizer at Pierre Maspero's restaurant. People say it tastes like chicken, but it was more like pork, but a little chewy, like calamari.)
