That's a nice looking piece of kit.
He ordered it with a 1mm edge so he can sharpen it himself? Judging by the way his flick-knife sliced so quickly through the tape on the box, you might want to suggest he gets that done by a specialist.

His knife is razor sharp... cuts hair on an arm, or paper like nothing. Not sure why that was a problem. I'll have to ask him

But he's got great skills at sharpening. I should get him to do it on video. He spent 2 hours yesterday just doing one side of the blade and was still complaining about it.
He's super hard core for a 18 year old. Very proud medievalist.

When I worked for amazon those shipping labels were a bitch to cut through even with a brand new box cutter. Its the plastic paper and tape together it makes it a little rough
