Spectre and raise dead
Both the 1e and 2eMM say under the write up for the Spectre, that a raise dead that the spectre fails a save against completely kills it. BUT does it take damage (ala slay living) if it makes said saving throw? We are having a discussion on this on dragonsfoot, and roughly half the respondents seem to feel that it should.

Re: Spectre and raise dead
Naw. It's not "slay living" nor is it "live Slaying". I would make that mutha make a Resurrection survival roll to become the fighter listed though. Otherwise "cack" as the spectre becomes clothed in flesh and blood before your eyes like reverse of "Raiders of the lost Ark". Epic Fail! (Good night Irene.)
