Question - would you have been this upset about the thread had I NOT mentioned their politics? Is it the fact that I mentioned their politics or the fact that I rubbed their noses in it?
First, I'm not upset.
Second, it's the fact that you mentioned politics at all. This is against the rules. No politics, no religion, no name-calling.

Fair enough. I'll steer clear of politics. I got a little lax on it because it's come up on several other threads without much ado.
On another note, I ordered a duck from Whole Foods today for Xmas, and they
insisted it would be thawed (chilled, not frozen) when I get there tomorrow to pick it up. I hope this doesn't turn into a replay of Thanksgiving!
I mean, how hard is it to get things right?

I'd CHECK and if its NOT thawed as ordered, just CANCEL THE ORDER on the bloody spot, walk away and don't pay them a dime.

That wouldn't have been an option since they're the only ones in the area selling non-conventional/organic ducks. They were lucky. They actually paid attention and did their job correctly, so they didn't end up having to give it to me for free.

Yeah, directly leave politics and religion off these forums guys... but if someone wants to post topics like this in the Tavern, scorning someone etc with just cause, feel free.
Racism, Religious topics, Porn and Politics have no home here ... other than that, I don't really care. I call people assholes all the time. It's part of my lingo and I generally don't mean it. Hell, I don't care if people call me an butthole either. I don't take offense to taunting etc. It is ONLY a public forum and none of us will actually meet in real life (almost guaranteed), yet if my Mods or Admins feel the topic is getting out of hand. They have my full support in squashing or deleting the topic completely.
My own thoughts and ideals are generally of the "I don't care" ilk. I personally don't have an issue with topics like this as I have demonstrated over the many many years. However I try to appoint admins and Mods with better judgement than myself.
