grew up with this... can't believe BM didn't post it yet. Mind you it's not classic rock... but it's awesome! Memories of my generation ;)

and since they play D&D and the song has D&D references in it... it belongs here

I didn't post it because it is the wrong decade Cole, 1991 bra'. Still of course it's Metallica at their prime.

Neil Young- Old man https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a_pru77ZsGE
Classic rock gone Folksy. 1972, I still like this song. It reminds me of my father who's now deceased. I miss ya Dad. :(

I'm late to the thread but my childhood and high school years were primarily occupied by 2 hobbies, D&D and playing guitar. So my 2 favorite bands, Led Zeppelin and Metallica, which have both been mentioned in this thread also happen to have a bit of D&D memories for me. While I love anything Zeppelin if I had to pick a song that really fit my D&D groove it would have to be Immigrant Song.

Metallica has so many great songs that also fit but the one that really made an impression on me is Call of Ktulu. No lyrics, only instrumental. Ride the Lightning came out right in my 1st edition D&D era and something about the song put an entire campaign in my head. Maybe someday I will actually put it to paper and run it for my group.

You're not late Meph, you are right on time. Yep, both of these tracks are iconic songs from the bands. I have both these albums on my playlist. Rock on Bro!

Anybody who's read my posts here knows I am a huge Rush fan.
Two years ago, Rush toured to promote their Clockwork Angels album.
A three-hour video from the Dallas TX show from that concert tour was later released on DVD.
That DVD - all three hours of it - has made it onto youtube.

Rush Clockwork Angels Tour

Having seen a lot of concert DVDs and a lot of Rush concerts, I will tell you that this DVD comes the closest I have ever seen to actually being at a Rush show. It's well worth viewing, if you are a fan at all of their music.

Oh, and if you just want to see the drumming heroics of Neil Peart from that DVD click: Clockwork Angels Drum Solos
And remember, not all those who have superhuman abilities use them to fight crime.
