Mad like a Fox [Party Tactical Planning and tracking]

A classic 2e Puzzle dungeon for High Level characters
Beware, this one is substantially longer and (IMHO) even harder than the legendary Tomb of Horrors!

Poison dart trap found and disarmed. Hand-shaped depression on nose found
-Head opened. Empty space, no apparent exit. "Vytholus" carved on the roof of the snake mouth

hatch a: opened,
6ft drop to a circular room full of bones. Archway exit leads to 10 ft wide spiral stair in the center of a 30ft diameter shaft (no railings).
Spiral stairway leads down to a short straight stair (trapped), an empty square room (trapped), and a false door. No apparent exit.

hatch b: Opened, no traps found. 8ft diameter shaft with a ladder in the middle. Bottom appears to be a dead-end (trapped). No apparent exit.

-Door lifts easily to reveal another 20x20 room with 20 ft pit and 20 ft ceiling (total 40 ft centered on floor of room1)
-Door slammed shut, destroying 'Rattle' (skel)
-Door openes 2nd time, propped up by Landro / troll bars
-Body in the pit had magical chainmail, a lavender and purple stone, and bore the 1st Sigil.

hatch d: Opened, no traps found. 10ft diameter shaft with a ladder on one side. Can't see the bottom. Axid detected life, Invisible Trolls climbed out and attacked!
-Trolls vanquished, Jack scouted. Leads to A2

A2 Big empty room. 1 door (to A4), 1 hallway with door (leads to A3) and apparent dead end (previously searched by Jack), [n]now has a Doorway![/b]

A3 Troll bunk room. Searched, found coins, meaty bones, green serpent ring.

A4 Pit obvious on far side of room. Panel found near door to A3 that extends over the pit to another door (wiz locked). Large pit leads to hidden space below with statue. Important knowledge:

Vytholus was a serpent-god from the plane of Pandemonium. Pandemonium (also called the Howling Plane) is a place of madness, darkness, and deafening winds. It is where Chaos turns sick and damaged, becoming mentally ill, demented and deranged. It is a place of winding, mazelike tunnels with no rhyme or reason behind them.
