Sinister Secret of Saltmarsh (This is the Game Thread)

Desolate and abandoned, the evil alchemist’s mansion stands alone on the cliff, looking out towards the sea. Mysterious lights and ghostly hauntings have kept away the people of Saltmarsh, despite rumours of a fabulous forgotten treasure. What is its sinister secret?

"I still have one spell left," Amon admits. "And if the others are that badly injured, Echo and I took the precaution of bringing some potions of healing."

==========

(OOC: How badly is everyone injured? I know Brax was 'putting on a show' but still has almost as much HP as Amon does. I have no idea how Searos, Gunther and Vee are doing.)

"I have a healing potion, and one healing spell, plus a little extra help." Brax admits, "Searos is injured slightly, as is Gunter.. " Nursing her bad leg she slips onto the floor. "I am... I fear I may be quite injured myself, I have definitely felt better."

---------
Brax 6/19 hp.
Gunter 10/19hp
Searos has taken damage too... (drunk and cant find it this moment)

((Searos has taken 7 damage, leaving him at 5. I'm actually in a bad way.))

Searos peers at Kim suspiciously for a moment at the "wise man" comment but says nothing. He also glances at the electrical burn he got from the trap.

"I would say my injury is my own fault for not being careful but... well, I don't agree with that."

"I also still have one spell left," Echo says. "I suppose I could give my healing potion to someone."

"Well, then, we have three healing potions among us, that should help. Let us hold a vote then, on whether we should continue or leave. I vote for the former. What say the rest of you?" asks Amon.

==========

(OOC: Brax has 19 HP max? Or did you mean 18? Also, I did a quick check through the thread, and Brax has cast at least five spells so far. (Light, Cure Light Wounds, Detect Magic, Cure Light Wounds, Cure Light Wounds.)

"I have made my point clear" Kim stands there, arms folded, but visibly restless.

"Hmm, well...it seems Echo, Miss Vee and myself want to stay. And Master Gunther, Mage Kim and Sister Brax wish to leave," Amon observes. "Alas, poor Dogmeat does not get a vote. So..," he continues, looking to the thief. "It appears the tie-breaker falls to you, Master Searos."

"I wouldn't be opposed to staying if I could have one of those healing potions. I am concerned about our ability to stand against another large group of foes without rest. How many spells do you wizards have left?"

"We don't know if it's a large group or a small group," Amon points out. "As for spells, we have two more between us, apparently."

Echo shakes her head at the group, obviously disappointed. "They were so eager to come in here, and now they want to run off. Pathetic. We are just giving these people more time to build up their defenses."

"We may be pathetic, Miss Soulstaff, but I'd rather be pathetic and alive than brave and dead. Besides, our not coming after them may just as well unnerve the enemies. If they haven't come for us yet, they probably have built up their defenses, if they don't have them ready all the time at some place behind that door." Kim's voice is firm.

[ooc: could you please state by what route you want to leave the house and in what order?]

"I'm afraid I'm with Kim then...if we leave now we can rest safely, find some potions, re-equip, maybe find out what this philosophers stone is and be back here by early tomorrow...better prepared. Amon and Echo, I know this is your first quest of this sort...I see that you are both very talented mages. I just don't want to see it be your last because we wandered into something we weren't prepared for."
