(OOC: I do believe that a non-thief half-elf can make a detect noise check by rolling 15 or less on a 1d100 or a 3 or less on a 1d20.)

Gunter walks over to Searos to inspect the newly found hoard, testing their weight, etc.
((Ooc - what weapons are lying on the floor besides the broadsword?))

Hear noise check:
1d100=43, fail
(ooc @ Jaded, Jen: where do I find that when I need it? It's my turn next as DM...)

(OOC: Chapter 15 of the DMG, under "Listening." It's on page 129 of the original DMG, the one with the old man and dragon on the cover. I'm not sure about the revised DMG, though.)

A large two headed axe, two longswords, and a small handaxe all lie on the floor, they do appear old, some of the Runes date them back many years.
Kim hears nothing at the 'door'.
"Indeed, perhaps one of you Mages could investigate the weapons further, to give Searos a clue." Brax comments, before her hand joins Amon's. "Cold interesting." She observes.

Shrugging, Amon figures there's only one way to figure this out for sure. He attempts to push his way through the wall, as if it were made of water, taking his torch with him.

Gunter appraises the weapons quickly, noting the longswords in particular. Then, seeing the wizard push through the wall, hurredly follows him.
"Can't have these rookies wandering off by themselves..."

Kim comes back into the "Skeleton room" only to see Gunter disappearing through what seems to be solid wall.
"Illusions... a mutter of disdain. "Do we follow them?" a hand indicates the "passage" to Echo, Brax, Vee and Searos.

Amon steps through the wall suddenly, a blast of cold air hitting him as soon as he enters, his torch illuminates a small room, much the same size as the last, shelves line the wall throughout making it appear much smaller.
Piled on the floor in front of him are a clutter of old and broken glass and earthenware.
There are three small copper pots amidst the debris and these appear to be intact.
A bench runs down the west wall of what was obviously a laboratory. On the bench are various jars of powders and liquids and several pieces of chemical apparatus, some stained in different colors as the liquids they contained dried up long ago.
There is a table against the south wall, forming an i-shape with the bench. In the chair before the table sits a human figure with its back to you, apparently studying a book which is open on the table. The figure wears a robe, embroidered with a variety of mystic symbols, and a pointed hat.
On the table is a candlestick, a tiny stump of unlit candle remaining in it, and a variety of other items which, even in the dim light, shine with the warmth of pure gold. One of these objects looks like a human skull.
As Amon looks around Gunter comes charging in, the warrior appearing through the door, the cold of his breath appearing quickly. He is followed quickly by a still limping Brax.

Back in the other room, Brax nods and simply walks through the wall, both her and Gunter disappear from sight.

Unafraid, Amon approaches the figure, wondering to himself how anyone could sit and read in here comfortably when it was so cold.

Approaching closer the robes appear old, frayed, and tatty, the figure doesn't react to Amon's presence in anyway, it doesnt move at all. Moving forwards, his breath making clouds of mist before him.
"What an interesting room, is this perhaps the treasure?" Brax asks quietly her teeth chattering, her shivering form moving close to Gunter.

Ignoring Brax's question, Amon circles around to get a better look at the man. "Hello?" he asks as he holds the torch closer.

The Torch illuminates the figure as he moves closer, the book is held tightly in two white cold pale skeletal hands, getting even closer he reveals a white pale human skull, the figure is slumped in the chair, unmoving.
The cover of the book reads: Ye Secret of Ye Philosopher's Stone

Kim stays in the skeleton room, leans to the wall facing the door, and starts cleaning fingernails with the dagger, with an occasional glance at the door.
