None of the enemies have rolled init yet, they went last in the round because of surprise, but were were able to act because they were not surprised. That will not be known until the next combat round

Exciting!
Tqo queries, please:
a) Can we have a map update,
b) How about us having a saving throiw verses the AoE fire bomb attack?
(Maybe Save v paralysation, DEX mod applies)

Odd.. I attached a map but it looks like the upload didn't go through properly.
For the flaming oil, the DMG doesn't really discuss saves against grenade like missiles, it just says all within the area 'will be hit'. I think probably that is because it requires and attack roll instead of a save and the 'splash zone' damage is already more than halved w/respect to a direct hit. For this instance let's leave it as-is but I'll think about it more for the next time it comes up

Are we just catching? If we took time to pat it out, would ew avoid the damage?
Did the living take off too fast for us to catch up, or do we think we could catch them?

Maybe the flames catch the nearest unconscious orc too?

Not on fire, just hit with hot oil. one instance of damage, little to no effort to prevent burning. Continue next round as normal.
The enemy moved out of sight but attacked first, so only half-move. They are probably just around the corner but may be setting up ambush. You can easily attempt to pursue next round.

Nope, as given by the area indicated by the red circle on the map. The potential area for the miss of a grenade like missile did include some of them but the actual rolled location did not.

Could he move here, then decide to go further or shoot his bow?
Basically want to cautiously approach the corner, and not become a huge target.

As he pokes around the corner, he will take a shot if he seems an enemy.

I missed something.
Did the one who stepped around the corner get away?
Or came to surrender also?

The one around the corner is one of the injured orcs who surrendered. He figured he couldn't get all the way clear before getting sniped

So. I'm behind on this game.
Are we here to find another piece of the artifact?
I just jumped in and we were in combat right away.

The group left bordertown to investigate reports of some orcs near the rift. Katten found their tracks and the group followed to ambush the orcs. The two bugbears talking to the orcs before the ambush have gotten away (Linar actually heard and understood their conversation but nobody else did) that said, the group now has some orcs they could question...
