Elden will snap the neck of the one he has pinned.

Nocturno heads for the one straight north of him.

Unless he sees or hears something untoward, 30' with normal elven quietness along the left (east) wall and then the balance of his move with thiefy stealth (I think MS is 1/3 normal speed, so 90'/3=30', giving 60' total.) If there are straight runs or open areas his 120' infravision might be useful. Assuming Katten's stuff took longer than that, he proceeds in stealth mode until she's within 60' of him and then he matches her pace.

Listening to the ranger, Jordek quietly puts the torch down and sneaks over to the nearest living goblin and cuts its throat.

Linar moves off southward into the darkness. The passage to the SouthEast runs another 70 feet beyond the intersection, completely empty and silent. To the West the large room where the heavy ambush bogged down the party only a day before lies empty save for the gory smatterings of their deadly work...

Katten gives up interrogating the now terrified goblin and puts her sword through his throat, while advising the others to do the same. An odd feeling flashes through her as she murders the helpless creature... almost like the thrill of a high climb or the rush of a storm, but with a shadowy bent...

Elden cracks the neck of his pinned adversary, the crunch of bone echoing slightly in the cave. Nearby Nocturno hacks another head free as Jordek slashes the throat of another. In short order the goblins are dispatched and the cavern grows eerily silent once again.

OK, so evidence of life, siae passage or secret stuff. Is that the end of the SE passage? Or merely as far as Linar has got & can see?
PS I thought the passages were south and southwest, so (and dont rememer a SE passage), so it would be a ig help if we have an updated map, please.

Katten closes her eyes for a moment, saying a prayer for the dead creatures soul, these were vermin, the covered the land like a plague, only.. they were living creatures. She sheaves her weapon fighting the darkness that threatened to fill her soul, darkness echoing the stains on her arms.

"Mag u gees rus." She lowers her head, she needed to see the sun, to feel the forest on her fur. "Come, we follow, no more kill unless they resist."
" Kid never learned to clear a room. Doors and corners, I told him. Doors and corners."

Jordek gathers up the torch carefully and moves to join the human, confusion at the abrupt change of heart of the bloodthirsty cat on his face. "Surely she doesn't intend to leave goblins armed and aware behind us... right?" he whispers to the human.

Lost in her inner struggle Katten kneels, closing each of the Goblins eyes, allowing a small prayer to thier god leave her lips each time, she was not a Monster, she refused to become one.

Katten takes a moment to settle the dead, her warrior's heart conflicting with the natural law that all living things strive to find shelter for their kind... the creatures were hateful and destructive... but... vermin though they were, they were still living things... She did not hunt them to eat as a predator would... but to save others from being eaten... yet... could even such as they have a place in the natural order?

Nocturno thinks about where they found the captives before, it lay far to the west (roughly twice as far as Linar has scouted in the map), with one turn very slightly south. The group continues on to the wide area where the ambush happened... the first fateful encounter with Krok and his ambush... blood and gory patches litter the ground with no immediate sign of the drow...

Linar moves off farther into the darkness, unbeknownst to the party. Peering into the former cell area to the south, he finds it empty... at least to view from outside the door. He continues on to the West, scouting out the wide chamber there that branches off in several directions. Moving north, he makes a loop to return to the wide common area that the goblins obviously use for social gathering, judging by the scraps of hide, clay vessels, tools and trinkets scattered about...

"The hidden caverns, perhaps." Katten ponders "Follow others, I go look." With that she turns back towards the hidden caverns she found looking for the young ones.

With hesitation Nocturn looks in the directions the two scouts left in. "Jordek, Elden, go with Katten. It didn't turn out so well down that way last time." He will turn to follow the Drow.

"Well at least we have the light." He will say with a large smile.

Linar retraces known ground at a normal walking rate [360'/round], so about 70' to just north of the gate and then about 50' west (towards the junction of 4 unexplored ways: N, W, SW, SE). Reverting to a more cautious pace [120'/rounnd] the drow takes an arc to take a glance at the east wall (might be a door) and down the SE, SW and west tunnels before, unless anything untoward is encountered, exploring the north tunnel.

Katten turns almost immediately southeast, moving down the long stone tunnel to where she had first found the goblin younglings only a few days prior. Just as the day before, she finds the area abandoned; cloth and trinkets and firs strewn about in a rush to hasten elsewhere. Flanked by Dran, she moves on with Jordek and Elden following by torchlight and Indendien bringing up the rear. The ranger makes it to the first turn; knowing the series of small chambers lies ahead leading to where she encountered... the Ash Priest...

///

Linar moves south west through the cavern, scouting as much as he is able with his extensive darkvision. He glances down the West, southeast and southern passes, finding the former to be apparent dead-ends. Nocturno and Dellinanth follow, each confirming two of the side passages end in naught but stone while the Drow moves cautiously north to verify the same in that direction... Soon it is clear the only way forward lies to the south; the passage they took yesterday before finding some of the captives to the west of that intersection...
