Pyros will stare in awe at the piece of leather working genius.

"Thatisamazinghowdidyoudothisinsuchlittletime!Doyouguysseethis?WOWJUSTWOW!" Pyros will throw 6 GP pieces the the leather worker, and practically jump into his new armour.

"Fitslikeaglove.YOUSHOULDCOMETOTHEINNFORLUNCH!ITWILLBEONME!"

The old man flinches a little as the gold is tossed to him, but watches Pyros with an odd fascination; leaving the hard-haggled coin lying where it lands. Where you from, lad? he asks. And your friend... never seen his like before... he adds, gesturing to Cal.

"I'm from a small village you probably have never heard of. Outside of Haven but closer to Solace. Mostly though I just wander. Cal, well he is a Gnome. Inventive folks, usually a little odd, but typically good to have around. Not quite as fun to bug as a dwarf though... hoo hoo dwarves, they get upset at any little thing!" If he is speaking Elven Pyros will respond in kind, or Kenderspeak if he is speaking in Kenderspeak.

Haven... Solace... he mutters, scratching at his chin. Not Sithican names... what country is that? Never been to Borca or beyond the Blutespur... When Cal responds he looks at him a little skeptically, Gnome, huh... heard something about that once... supposed to be a few down in Valachan... He smiles a little when the craftsmanship is mentioned, but dismisses it almost off-handedly. Did that a long time ago... don't even really remember when... used to get more business, but i mostly work when I get bored now...

I can generate some details about Cal's homeland (my old homebrew world) if you like, spyguy. Gnomes there are often inventors/tinkerers and one of the more technologically advanced groups along with the local dwarves.

Artanis whistles and quips: "That's a fine set of armor there, Pyros. Yes sir, no fell creature is safe around you now! If Yasir is the King Rat Slayer, you shall be dubbed the Prince Rat Slayer and the swooner of the ladies." Artanis intentionally uses the term rat slayer for Pyros rather than Wolf Slayer - knowing that the folks here have a peculiar fondness for wolves.

"Prince Rat Slayer, I like it. But I failed in getting Yasir a pelt last night.... last night" he will shiver a bit.

To the leather working genius! "Abanasinia, on Ansalon! come on now, we can't be that far away! I just walked through a misty lake and forest, then down a river."

Cal pulls out his spellbook. "Could you engrave the cover of this?" The book has a plain front, as of right now. "Of course, you would be compensated." (OOC: Yeah, please PM me details.)

Lambrey blinks. The mist... he says, unconsciously making a sign against harm. Pyros slips imto his armor, which fits very well once the straps and buckles are tightened. No such land as Ansalon... unless it's beyond the endless ocean...

Cal'd question pulls him from his near-stupor. He takes a look at the leatherbound volume. I could work with this. What kind of design did you have in mind?

"What about the mist? It was really odd, I was camping with these goblins and minotaurs when I woke up in the mist, and the whole camp by the lake was gone!"

Cal pulls out a piece of paper and sketches the crest of the seven towers on it. "How does this look?" "Mist? I was near a tablet that looked misty, but when I tried to pick it up, it sucked me in."

Stolen by the mists... bad luck... He looks on the verge of asking them to leave. Cal sketches a seven-pointed star bearing ancient magic symbols at each point for the Crest of Magi. Lambrey nods, glad to change the subject even slightly. The cost will depend on how fancy you want to get. At least a few silver, might go up to a couple gold if you want something very intricate.

Cal hands him 3 GP. "I accept your terms." he says. "Do you know about how long it will take?"

Lambrey blinks at the amount handed to him, and can't help but grin. I can probably have it finished by tomorrow morning. I'll put as much detail as I can in before then. He quickly pockets the coin and shakes Cal's hand to seal the bargain before the Gnome changes his mind.
