Re: LSO OOC Thread II
What does Ouragana know about genasi? (you needen't tell me here if there is a link where i can read it myself).
There's more to me than meets the eye...
Re: LSO OOC Thread II
Unless she's made it a point to give them special study, I would assume she knows about as much as anyone else.
Genasi are a very rare race that are sometimes called 'plane-touched.' They are the result of the crossbreeding of a mortal race with an extraplanar being (specifically from the elemental planes). The breeding of a human and an efreeti genie, for instance, would produce a fire genasi. A sylph mating with an elf would produce an air genasi, and so on.
Genasi tend to physically resemble their mortal parent, but also contain some traces of their elemental heritage. For instance, a fire genasi might have literal fiery hair. They can sometimes control the element they are touched with, such as a water genasi being able to breathe underwater or an earth genasi able to harden her skin to resemble stone.
The most common Genasi come from the four basic elements--earth, fire, air and water. However, there are other kinds that are lesser known and even rarer, such as smoke, ice, mineral, lightning, steam, ooze, magma, radiance, ash, dust, salt, vacuum, life and death.
Reactions to genasi vary depending on the region. Some treat them as divine, blessed by the gods themselves. Others see them as monsters or 'impure' and shun them at best, attack them at worst. Likewise, genasi themselves are often wildly varied in their personalities. Some think they are better than 'mere mortals' while others just want to be allowed to live normal lives. Typically, there are certain personality traits that tend to crop up in certain genasi, usually pertaining to their element (e.g., fire genasi tend to be passionate and quick to anger, earth genasi tend to be ponderous and slow to act, etc.).
As they are so rare, genasi tend to be isolated from each other. You don't see many genasi communities, although there are exceptions, like the Children of Meer.

Yep, looks like Invisible Castle is down again. It happens every now and again; it should be back up in a day or two. I'll roll all dice until then.BishGada wrote:(err... something happened to invisible castle... JadedDM please roll the dice for me. Thanks.)
BTW I'm very sorry to keep you all so long with my posts. If it's unacceptable just tell me. I hope soon I'll recruit few employees and have less stress at work.)
And don't worry about it. I've been distracted myself due to Thanksgiving. Hopefully I'll get things back to normal around here tomorrow.
Re: LSO OOC Thread II
Thanks,
and Happy holidays to you all.

Re: LSO OOC Thread II
Yep. It is so bizarre it keeps being attacked. Maybe because it's an "Invisible Castle" so if taking it literally it might sound presumptuous and in turn invites attacking it, as a medieval challenge.
Anyway luck with the rolls hasn't changed much.
Not that I complain. I think my rolls falls to the expected statistics. It's just that every time before pressing that button, I have a small wish... (you probably would call it Cantrip
)

Re: LSO OOC Thread II
I don't think they're being attacked; I think whoever owns it just keeps forgetting to renew the contract and it keeps expiring.
Re: LSO OOC Thread II
Oh. Less dramatic than my assumptions then.

It's all in her nature. Besides, it's not like we have time to heal up.
Re: LSO OOC Thread II
So with Christmas coming up, I thought I'd ask about everyone's availability. I know some people will be too busy with the holidays for the game, so let me know if and when you plan to take off and for how long.
Re: LSO OOC Thread II
Xmas doesn't change my availability, although work does as it did for the last two month. I'm trying to post every other day.

Just a heads up, spyguy1503. I've closed your personal thread as your character is now about to meet the others in the main thread. So you'll be posting there from now on.
