Raina jumps a bit upon seeing the rat. "But there are rats, apparently," she says as she walks up behind Gimak. "This place really has seen better days, but it is safe for the moment."

"It's not those kinds of rats that worry me," Gimak mutters, unnerved by Elianna's disappearance.

(OOC: Is Jain still outside, or did he come in with Eringard and Maria?)

Jain is standing in the entryway with Eringard and Maria, casually leaning against the door-frame and watching the colors of the sunset or possibly the road. He turns to Gimak unconcernedly. "Ho, Gimak. Any treasure waiting for us inside?"

Raina walks the perimeter of the keep, picking her footing carefully amongst bush and stone. She finds a hole in the outer wall in the Northwest corner, opposite the entrance. She finds no sign of other parties lying in wait or foul play, save the chittering of vermin.

"Treasure, no," Gimak says. "Place was likely cleaned out long ago. But there is a nice place to set up a camp for the night. Where'd the elf go?" he asks again.

The keep had been attacked many times that was obvious.. completing her circuit she comes up behind the group, her blade still drawn. "The perimeter is clear. And I am but a half elf master Dwarf."

"She told us she would do a perimeter check" Eringard says to Gimak in a reassuring voice.
"Right, if it is clear, let's make camp. What do you think, should we leave the mounts here where they have water, and set the watches here, too? Or is there another entrance into the keep we would have to watch as well?" The last question is directed at Elianna.

Once they are set up and a fire is going, Eringard will light the ends of a bunch of lavander and circle the camp with it. She might put some smoldering lavander if there are places where it can burn itself out without causing harm, to drive away the stench of bat droppings a bit, and to create a comfortable atmosphere.

"Well the keep is damaged, there is a hole in the outer wall in the Northwest corner, opposite the entrance. Something we should keep an eye on that. Otherwise I would suggest our watches take regular circuit of the keep." She says as she sheaves her blade, the numerous Runes reflecting the fading light as the sword vanishes into its scabbard.

"We could cover the horses at the same time then. Unless Gimak has a different idea."

"I think the horses will be fine on their own. I've never seen people worry so much about their animals before," Raina remarks casually. "Anyway, I'll take one of the first two watches," she offers. "It is easier to stay up later than to sleep and then wake up for some sort of watch."

"Fine with me," Gimak says, still eying Elianna suspiciously. "Three watches then, three hours each. Raina and Eringard can take the first, Seraphina and Jain can take the second, and I'll take the third with Elianna," he says. That way he can keep an eye on her, if she tries to sneak off again, he thinks to himself.

"No, I am not going to take fist watch. I said at the very beginning that I want to do last watch. I have to be up a dawn, so if I take first or second watch, I won't get enough sleep" Eringard says firmly, her arms crossed. "And in case you are wondering: I am not performing any other service to Lathander then than to see the dawn, so I am not distracted from guard duty."

"Well that idea fell flat on its face." Elianna says with a thinly disguised smirk. "Then we switch watches, Gimak and I can take first watch. Eringard can take last watch as she wishes..."

"Enjoy my company do you Master Dwarf?" Winking she glances at Jain before entering the Keep without another word.

"Oh, good. A team player," Gimak mutters sarcastically. He looks to Elianna. "No point in that, she just admitted she refuses to actually watch the camp, even if she is given a shift. Instead, Maria will take her shift."

Elianna pauses, standing by the door, "That is not what she said. Is it Priestess?" Hanging by the door she waits for the Cleric to defend herself.

"Do you need to clean your ears, Mr. Dwarf?" Eringard says, somewhat angry. "I said I need to be up at dawn in honor of Lathander, but that does not mean that I stand there and stare at it or do anything in particular. I can very well pay attention to anything moving around the camp. That's why I usually volunteer for last watch. I do not see in which way this makes me a bad teamplayer."
