When the four women come downstairs, Hubert and Frisno both seem surprised to see them. "You're back," Hubert states. "I had heard you all left town. You probably would have been better off not returning. There's a crazed murderer on the loose, you know."

The waiter starts at Jocelyn's request. "I'm not sure if that's a good idea...but you are a priestess of Octhanus, right? Maybe that's what he needs." He rubs his chin. "His room is the door right next to the bottom of the stairs. You passed it when you came down."

"He was on the loose already before we went" Ouragana observes. "Areilon here and I tried to look into it, but we found no clue, so we left trying to help with something else."

"Is that so?" Hubert asks. "I guess it didn't become big news until the innkeeper's daughter died and the Wardens locked down the town."

After giving Jocelyn directions, the waiter approaches the other three. "What can I get you this morning?"

"Breakfast, and fruit juice." Arei answers. "And perhaps now the wardens see the problem... What of Tia? Has she surfaced?" She adds as she takes a seat. "Forgive me, my recall is a little hazy, what happened yesterday?" She asks. Val and Oura, pulling them in close.

"You and Val talked, nothing more." Ouragana answers Arei's question.

"And the same breakfast for me, please" she tells the waiter.

"Talked? Ohh.." she trails off giving Val a look of concern.

"Yea, we ...... talked. A lady never tells." Giving Arei a wink, she lets her think a bit.

"I hope it wasnt too bad." She blushes and turns away.

Jocelyn gives a small nod to the waiter, and walks to Brock's room. Taking a deep breath, she knocks lightly upon the door. "..Brock?" she asks.

"I haven't seen the other elf today," the waiter admits. "It's like she never leaves her room, but surely she must leave at some point." He heads into the kitchen to get the meals Ouragana and Areilon requested.

Meanwhile, Jocelyn stands outside of Brock's door. At first, there is no answer, no sound at all. But then there's a loud clatter, as if something fell over. "Go 'way!" comes the old dwarf's gruff voice. "Ain't answerin' no more questions!"

"I'm not here to ask you questions," Jocelyn says. "I'm the acolyte of Octhanus that was staying here not too long ago. You sat with me during breakfast," she says.

There's another long pause. "What do you want?" he asks through the door. His voice sounds closer this time.

"I just thought that maybe you would want someone to listen to you talk instead of having someone ask you a bunch of questions," Jocelyn says. "I can't imagine what you might be going through right now, but I'm sure it isn't easy."

Another few moments pass of silence, and then Jocelyn hears footsteps, followed by the audible clicking of the lock, then more footsteps as he walks away. "C'min," he mutters.

Jocelyn smiles lightly, if not a little sadly to Brock as she steps into his room. "You've probably been asked so many questions over the last couple of days. None of them have been about how you're doing, though." Naturally, people wanted to solve this whole murder spree.
