Re: An expedition with the "Seagull"
Once Echo secures her food, she goes to eat it alone in her quarters, not interested in any company while she eats.
Re: An expedition with the "Seagull"
(OOC @Jaded: Echo has no quarters of her own, the Seagull offers her passengers one cabin for males (6 places) and one for females (4 places).

Re: An expedition with the "Seagull"
(OOC: Just speaking for myself here, but it's been over four months since our last adventure, so I'm pretty eager to move things forward.)
Re: An expedition with the "Seagull"
Sam, the young halfling, comes by after about thirty minutes to clear out the plates and cutlery. "Anyone interested in a tour of the ship?" he asks.

Re: An expedition with the "Seagull"
Seeing that no one is interested in his offer of a tour of the boat, Sam the halfling shrugs and returns to the galley.
As the evening approaches, the "Seagull" rounds another rocky cape and enters a lovely bay with a sandy beach. A large wooden pier has been erected to allow ships of her size to be loaded and unloaded without the help of boats. It is stacked with some merchandise from the prosperous little town that lies on the hills circling the bay.
Gulliver knocks on the door of the men's quarters and alerts those who have stayed on deck, too. "Please gather your belongings and be ready to debark quickly" he tells them. Indeed, once the anchor has fallen and the plank has been set up, the crew motions the passengers to leave the vessel. As they set foot on dry ground again, they see porters waiting with merchandise to bring on board.
Roland leads them into town, speaking a few words to a street urchin and giving him a copper. The boy runs ahead, so that when they arrive on the market square, the keeper of the inn named "Tree of life" waits for them in front of his establishment. He is a portly man who enjoys his own fare, if his potbelly and the red nose above his black beard are any indication. Next to the aproned innkeeper stand a couple in the fine wool clothes of well-to-do merchants. The lady, against all decorum, runs towards Roland and takes both his hands. "Thank the Gods you are back safely" she tells him with a thick voice. "Now Henry has disappeared, too. He said he could not wait for your return, and he doubted you would find support in Saltmarsh."
The man at her side nods and addresses the group. "We are indeed very thankful you have come. Young men from our town and a few adventurous young women have disappeared in the last few months, as well as travellers by land or by sea, They never were in groups of more than three, though. So we hope that the help of you all will solve the mystery and bring our sons and daughters back."
"But please come in for a dinner and a night's rest" the innkeeper chimes in. "The council of Dunreese will provide for your room and board, and you will be able to ask all you need to know over dinner."
The Tree of Life is a pleasant town inn, the common room subdivided into niches and aisles by many beams, ensuring privacy. The larges table, seating about twelve, is a round one, set in a corner, with a bench running around three quarters of it. A large number of mugs and several pitchers are already standing on it, and a pretty girl with long blond plaits gestures to them. "Please refresh yourselves, the brown pitchers contain ale, the grey and blue ones cider"

Re: An expedition with the "Seagull"
Amon greets the innkeeper, merchants and barmaid, introducing himself in turn, as well as his companions. "We're happy to do what we can to help. After all, our towns are neighbors."
Dogmeat is thrilled to be in a new place with new smells, sounds, and sights. It's all the dog can do to contain himself as he seeks to sniff at everything he sees from the docks to the inn.
Amon and Echo each help themselves to a mug of cider and have a seat, waiting for their briefing.

Re: An expedition with the "Seagull"
Amon is briefly held back by the merchant lady, who turns out to be Roland's mother, and who asks him about the welfare of his family, particularly about Eleanor. Henry, he remembers now from his mother's chat, must be Roland's younger cousin.

Brax steps inside the Inn quietly, her hood over her head she keeps her hands hidden taking a glass of Cider she sits down, apparently lost in thought.

Amon gives the woman a full update on his parents, brother, sister-in-law and nephew. He also assures her he'll do his best to find and return Henry and the others.

Searos walks past Amon letting him make all the introductions he wants. Searos heard tell of food and he is most interested in that proposition.

Vee also goes in the inn directly, she is hungry and even in better conditions she don't like small talk very much.
I am NOT sweet!
Re: An expedition with the "Seagull"
Gunter quickly grows bored of the family updates and his growling belly leads him towards the inn with Searos and Vee. He unshoulders his pack and eases himself into a chair next to Brax with a weary sigh of a man twice his age.
