Locky spends the next five minutes administering her herbs carefully to neutralize the poison.

Meanwhile, Ulster, who cannot see Locky (and therefore, only sees Babushka laying there helplessly), calls out, "Hey, are you okay?"

"Anyone have any rope?" asks Thuskar, putting his crossbow away.

=============

Babushka saves vs. poison (1d20+7): 26, pass.

Babushka, feeling quite drowsy because her body has to fight the wounds and the poison, whispers to Locky "Can you answer him, please?"

"She's ok, a little groggy but she will be fine, could umm.. Does someone come and get us?" Locky shouts up, turning her attention to the spider. "I wonder who made it?" She asks no one in particular.

Standing by the edge Jerrard removes his rope from his pack, ties one end around his waist and throws the other end towards Babuskha. "Catch!" He shouts "Locky, Tie the other end to her."

Imani lets out a small sigh of relief as she places her bow back upon her shoulder. "Jerrard, do you have her?" she asks. "Fighting with the torch light is going to be hard," she adds thoughtfully.

"Locky, I'm still bleeding from the spider bites, too. Could you ask Paladine to help me? Then I have more strength and can hold to the rope when Jerrard pulls me up."

(ooc: mountaineer's knowledge: if you tie a rope around someone and use the wrong knots, it can tighten around them so much that serious internal injury results. It's better to just make a loop, put a foot in and hold to the rope while it is pulled up. Also, pull up person and backpack separately...)

"Oh of course." Locky smiles, praying silently to Paladine she lays her hands on the Gnomes wounds. "She needs a few moments, lifting her now would injure her more." She strokes the Gnomes hair with the other, "I am glad I was here, but someone knew we were coming."

Cure Light Wounds: 1d8=3 3 hp healed.
Healing Check: 1d20=1

"Very well." Jerrard looks back behind him, "That stair was set to trap us. I doubt you will find your Sister Wife there, but we should check anyway." Ensuring the rope is tight he looks to Ulster and the others. "Check the Stairs, slowly, use something hard to tap each one in turn, we will join you when they are up here."

Locky casts a healing spell over the gnome, instantly mending the spider bite to Babushka's right shoulder. She then spends a minute bandaging up her remaining wounds and adding poultices to them, which helps with the bites to Babushka's left arm and leg.

This done, the two then climb up the rope to join the others, with Jerrard and Ulster holding it steady for them. The torch dies out, forcing Thuskar to relight his earlier one, so they can still see.

Once they are safe, Thuskar checks the staircase with his two-handed sword. He returns in a couple of minutes, reporting that only the thirteenth stair appears trapped, set to drop if anyone steps on it. "We should be able to just step over it," he says.

==========

Locky casts Cure Light Wounds on Babuska (1d8): 3 HP restored.
Locky makes a healing check on Babushka (1d20): 1, pass, she restores (1d3): 2 HP

"Why didn't I think of that?" Locky asks with a shrug, "I must have missed it." She checks Babuskha is ok on last time and looks to the stairs.

Does she still hear the voice?

"These things happen." Jerrard says as he unties the rope, placing it back in his pack he looks to the stairs, "Then someone was expected, we should check the cells, but as I said, I do not expect to find anything. I keep thinking of that Troll." He laughs, "I fear I am getting paranoid." He turns to Imani "What do you think about the stairs?"

Now that the excitement is all over, and Locky listens, she cannot hear the sobbing anymore. At some point between falling through the trap and now, whomever is responsible had gone silent. No doubt this is at least in part to all of the noise and commotion the party and clockwork spider were making.

"Strange, the Voice has gone now, perhaps it was all part of the Trap, but... I am interested to look still." The Little Kenders face lights up, interested in what might be up there.

"I'm not sure if we were expected or not. This trap could have been here for awhile honestly. The Black Plume has been here for a long time after all."

"I agree with Imani. This spider-machine looks like the work of dark evil dwarves, not of human bandits" Babushka shudders.
