Echo turns back to Amon once her father is gone. "He is a little more on edge today," she admits. It was normal for them to spend a little time at the inn for lunch almost every day. "Something must be going on," she reasons out. "So that means we really shouldn't get on his bad side. You know how he can get." Though, Echo always tried to stay on Daos' good side in the first place.

Kim looks at Daos's back, incredulously, not moving an inch. Who was that mage, to think that he could order Kim around?

Searos watches the guy in purplenrobes go by and can't help but sneer a bit. "mages... Never trust them Gunter. Use them as needed but never trust them. Let's head back in and see if we can't find this Jackal character. Maybe we can get the two magelings in there to go in first."

Searos claps Gunter on the shoulder and heads back into the inn.

Tel sides over to Kim quietly, "That I'll be Councilman Daos Soulstaff, it be quite an honour to receive an invitation to speak with him..." he says nothing more and continues to refill his patrons glasses.

"Ohh would you Gentlemen, and um...." He blushes, looking at Kim "Would you all like to visit your rooms? They just got made up and..."

(it is now 2pm in the afternoon)

"Oh, I would have gone with him if he had invited me.". Kim answers. "But I do not take orders from strangers calling me 'You'.
And yes, I'd like to see my room." Kim gets up and follows Tel to the guest rooms.

"Well, then it is time that someone taught him manners." The dislike is unmistakable in Kim's voice. "Power is no excuse for abuse."

Amon grins. "Well said. But nevertheless, Master Soulstaff does have power, so nobody would dare stand up to him. Least of all Echo and myself, who require his services to learn magic. One does not bite the hand that feeds him."

Tel just nods his head, obviously unwilling to upset Daos one little bit.

Leads Kim (and anyone who follows) up the stairs to the rooms, they are basic, but acceptable, each room is on the second floor no greater than 10ft square, with two glazed windows looking out to the town "square", the rooms have a bed, a small chest and a bucket.

"Wash room is down behind the pantry, we have a tub, I'll fill it for 2 gold, if ye want." He smirks.

Echo and Amon are now due to return to study... (I can FF till the evening if you wish, when Jakel arrives in the inn, he always turns up around 9pm and is thrown out, both mages know that.)

"Yes, a bath would be appreciated, if there is a bolt at the door to assure my privacy." Kim smiles at Tel.

"Yea, there be a bolt." Tel responds almost downcast, "There be a lock to the doors as well." he hands out keys to those who followed, anyone who didn't he gives them the key when they go downstairs.

(Occ: Right, I am moving Echo and Amon back to their own thread for a moment, and shall move the whole group, Vee and Brax included to the main game thread this evening. I think its time to start with the Adventure for real, you can of course decide not to follow the plotted course, but we'll see....)
