"Afternoon tea - what a nice idea." Babushka smiles. "No, unfortunately, we weren't very successful. The unexplored tunnel leads to a high waterfall that we could just jump down, but without ropes, there's no chance of getting back up. The river continues, but it gets very narrow, so it's not sure that going on will work."
Babushka nods to the Kender to go on with the story. She goes over to her backpack and takes the fungus rope/staff from it. She attempts to tie it around her left wrist as a kind of loose bracelet. Perhaps the magical staff would have warned them of the centipede? Better keep it with her at all times.

OOC..Sorry but I can't keep up with this posting rate. I work second shift when it appears all the posting is going on...so please play Elvenoff as a npc.. thanks for the time.

"Ohhhh, the story, well we tried to climb down, and I suggested we used one of the dead trees!" She giggles, "But Bab reminded me that it was rather dangerous. So we went back to the stone mouth and got some of that magnetic moss thingy for Jerrard." She closes her eyes remembering the boredom that followed.
"As we left the mouth this horrible creature came down and bit me! I couldn't move, but Bab talked to me, got me safe.. Its all ok. She smiles, and looks to the sad looking prisoners.
"I wish I could help, I thought they would be back by now.." She lowers her head.

"Yes, with your misfortune, it took us a very long time to come back, and I'm worried about Jerrard and Elvenoff." Babushka's voice sounds concerned. "Has anything moved around here?" she asks Shay and Ulster.

"I think we should look for them, and you should give us some time, but how to judge time in this place?" The Kender rubs her head.
"If only there was some way to judge time..." She looks to the lantern, "How long does that usually last? Because if you could judge how long it takes to use an hours worth of oil.. Then you'd know how long to wait." She smiles at herself. "Does that sound ok?"

Babushka resists Locky's pull for a moment. "You know that we have to be very, very careful, don't you, Locky? If Jerrard and Elvenoff have run into a trap or ambush, we won't help them if we become trapped, too. So move carefully, and look for traps or triggers.
We have one advantage, though: Jerrard and Elvenoff need light, so we will easily be able to see where they are - except if they've been captured and their torch was put out."

Elvenoff takes the door as Jerrard requested, long with Thuskar. He looks back from the door to Jerrard when he anounces that he has found a few things of interest. Elvenoff looks at the size of the chair and gets a bad feeling that there is something rather big walking around here and not only does it has size but intelligence as well. He returns his attention to the door and becomes much more alert.
Upon hearing the question about going back to the dropped gate Elvenoff nods, "Aye, lets head back." The shriek brings a wave of adrienne rushing through his veins. He looks upon the creature and his party with a bit of unease, these pods were stronger looking and the large creature showed more intelligence upon using the common tongue. He shifts his weight preparing for their attack, "Submit to this atrocity! It is you whom will submit and answer for your vile deeds." Elvenoff barks mustering his voice in a commanding tone.

Jerrard shrugs quickly, Elvenoff had made the choice for him, not waiting a moment he speaks the spidery words of magic that will send thousands of strands of sticky webs spewing from his fingers. (Casts Web, assume each 'tile' is 10m2, aimed at the two pod men in front of him, and the shroom.)

Locky and Babushka head the way Jerrard and Elvenoff had taken, finding themselves in a long, snaking tunnel. They travel dozens of feet before finding anything of interest.
The tunnel branches into two paths. It continues to the south, but also turns to the east. However, the eastern path is blocked by a heavy portcullis. There is also a small net set up in the river here, but it is empty.
There's a high-pitched screeching noise coming from the other side of the portcullis. It sounds distant.
From the south, they can hear splashing footsteps. Someone is approaching. Multiple someones, from the sound of it.
(OOC: Ah, looks like my random encounter dice decided to turn against you after all.)

"Stop him!" the Shroom shouts, but it is too late. Jerrard completes the spell, and strands of sticky webbing start filling that corner of the room. Reacting quickly, the Shroom dives into the room he had just exited from, avoiding the webbing. The two nearby podmen, however, are completely trapped and cannot move.
The two podmen to the south, however, remain a threat.
