"Let us follow the mist wherever it headed! This seems to be a place of cowardly monsters!" Kybalion exclaims. He starts moving in the direction of the mist.

The Broken Wheel (ext):

I don't fancy the odds, chasing a killer cloud in the fog... time for a drink. Gregor mutters, dousing his makeshift fire flask by plucking out the burning cloth and stamping it out before heading towards the inn.

Kybalion, Jerry, Merrick, Cross, Airand and presumably the invisible Pyros strike out to follow the enemy mist. At first the crimson veined vapor is easy enough to track with the subtle glow of a cloud-shrouded moon. It tracks Northwest, along the hilly ridge separating the Northeast corner of Skald from it's lesser parts. Then, several hundred yards later it cuts due East across the slope, forcing the followers to either climb or double back quickly to reintercept!

The Broken Wheel (int):

We may be able to follow it. Elsa adds, unless you'd rather stay behind for now and keep watch over the inn.

Just then Gregor bursts through the kitchen door into the commons. Hazard's past. The others are off chasin their tails. Let's have a drink, barkeep! To celebrate survival! he pointedly does not glance in the direction of the damage on the other side of the room.

As Kybalion and the invisible Pyros scramble up the hillside, Jerry and Airand not far behind. The mages seem to have more trouble, perhaps having neglected more physical activity for their studies. Go on! Merrick urges the others, Don't wait for us, we'll find another way around! Cross closes his eyes and concentrates, though it is unclear at the moment what the white-haired elf is doing.

The crimson-laced vapor continues to rise and float through the misty night, beginning to blend into the dark as it continues northward...

[Can I get a Wis or Int check (your choice) for Kybalion and Pyros please at it gets more difficult to determine what is natural fog and what is the escaping vampire]

Pyros will continue at a speed enough to keep up.

He will have no smart remark while invisible.

Int 10 Roll: [1d20]=13
Kybalion begins to utter curses upon the cowardly vampire, loudly. He remarks that the vampire is an illegitimate offspring of a dog, His mother slept with farm animals, he is a coward, has no place in the light of the day, his native soil was used as an latrine by dwarves, and even more blue epithets as he can come up with them. His frustration level rising as he ascends.

The adventurers peer into the ever-thickening gloom of night, seeking any trace of their foe. Pyros manages to pick out subtle movements and crimson filaments in the mist-shrouded firmament. Taking off in pursuit, the ever-dwindling group assails their airy enemy with insults.

The crimson threaded cloud turns north, and the sound of rushing water can be heard as they near the river. Ere long the swift currents fill the air with their crashing. Overhead the Cry of a raven echoes eerily in the ever deepening evening

The two watch the unnatural cloud moving into thicker mist suddenly turn Eastward as it floats along the river. Following they soon find it seems to be heading towards the small island in the center of the water, the Old Kartakan Inn!
