Searos goes over to the door with the heavy plank over it and makes a show of trying to lift it but doesn't actually make a real attempt.
"What do you suppose is beyond this door? Do any of you sorcerors or whatever have any method of figuring that out?"

"I'm afraid »seeing through solid wood« is not a spell I know" Kim says, face and voice neutral.

"Indeed, although that would be a neat trick." Brax responds totally dead pan, her face impassive.
"I would suggest this bar, was put here for a reason." she says as she fails utterly to lift it.
1d100=77 Fail.

"So you can make fire appear from no where but you can't do something as simple as see through a door?"
Searos throws up his hands in frustration.
"What is the point of your tricks then..."
(ooc: how much space is between the door and the floor?)

Barely any at all, the door appears quite well sealed

"Yes, because seeing through solid wood is a simple task," Echo says sarcastically. "Maybe if we all tried to lift it," she offers.

"There's hardly enough room for all of us." Kim points out. "What I would suggest is that our two strong ones, Gunter and Veeleyana, try to lift the bar. Someone with a ranged weapon, natural or magical, should stand on the table and be ready to shoot at anything that comes out. And I'm afraid that I don't have a magical weapon ready right now. It would take me ten minutes to get it ready. How about you, Amon and Echo?"

Gunter finishes the ham and moves towards the bar.
"That sounds good by me," he gets a grip on the bar and lifts up with all his might...
((is that a strength check or a bend bars/lift gates roll?))

(ooc: darn on the door. I was going to be clever with my metal mirror. Oh well)
Searos gets away from the door and stands up on the table with his bow, an arrow nocked and ready.
"Whenever you guys are ready."

1d100=14 Success!
The bar lifts as Gunter puts his back into the movement, the door creaks and shudders, yet behind the bar is a small lock, it appears quite sturdy and recent.
Brax stands to the back, her eyes glancing about still, her face somewhat paler than usual.

"It's up to you now, Searos," Echo says as she moves to take his spot. She pulls out her darts, as she doesn't have any spells that would by handy right about now.

Kim moves in close to Brax, speaking in a whisper."Is anything wrong?"

Glancing nervously at Kim Brax nods slowly, "Pelor.. While the 'Spirit' appears to be false, I sense the closeness of souls in torment." She says simply, her eyes going dark.

"Can you sense a direction this is coming from?" Kim asks quietly.
