Searos’s dagger suddenly catches a loose piece of timber, the wood lifts easily, revealing a small compartment in the base of the chest, as he does so a single jolt of energy transfers to his hand, running swiftly up his arm.
"I doubt there will be anything like that Vee, this chest is quite new, not something that would have been left behind.." Brax comments, seemingly preoccupied with the clothes.

Back in the Cellar:
Echo feels her body go numb, collapsing on the cold stone floor, the chill seeping into her bones. Yet she is unable to move, she can see but despite her best efforts she finds herself unable to speak.
Suddenly before anyone can react, the darkness fades, leaving two bloody unmoving bodies on the floor. Amon is nowhere to be seen, Echo lays face down on the floor, unmoving.
A low growl can be heard from Dogmeat who sits in the corner, inside the large open fireplace.

"Would you check on Echo, please, Gunter?" Kim asks and walks over to the fireplace where Dogmeat sits and growls, looking intently for signs of a secret passage of some kind.
(ooc: do I get a new roll? Kim knows there must be something)

roll for finding secret doors:
1d6=6
After searching the fireplace for a few minutes, Kim curses, stands up and tells Gunter:
"I know there must be some secret passage over there, but I can't find it. I'm going to get Brax, she might be able to find what I can't."
Kim walks up into the hallway, stands to get as clear a view into the corridor above as possible, and calls:
"Brax? Could you come down here, please? Someone has taken Amon through a secret door and I can't find out how it's operated!"

Gunter sets about checking on Echo and the two bodies on the ground.
Can he look around the room to see if there are any signs as to where amon was dragged?

Echo looks around silently at this point. There is nothing she can do other than look around after all. She suddenly seems rather annoyed about all of this in general. Where the hell was Amon?!

Looking down at Echo, she appears to be alive, her pulse is strong to his touch, her eyes even dance around the room, flashing violently.
Tracking check: 1d20=11 Pass.
Gunter looking closely spies a few scuff marks on the ground, but nothing else unless he leaves Echo's side.

"Kim, Echo is still alive but I think whoever it was that attacked her was using poison that left her paralyzed. I'm hoping its only temporary."
Seeing that the wizard is safe and probably not going anywhere, he gets up to check out the scuff marks.

They extend to the mouth of the fireplace and stop, his trained eyes spot a few scrapes on the old stone slabs that form the hearth, in a roughly semi circular pattern.

Searos cheers in victory and then snatches his hand back and yelps in pain. He sucks on his burned fingers and generally curses.
"Gods dammit, I got greedy and didn't check for traps... of course the thing would be trapped! All this is making sense now and I lost my head. Thats how people die. Dammit that hurts!"
He flaps his one arm almost like a chicken as he works through the pain. Groaning at the sensation.

(Takes 4 damage)
Brax shakes her head seeing the reaction from Searos, "Humans." She mutters before reaching into the chest on his behalf. Inside are numerous vials of a clear liquid, and a smaller locked chest.
(Brax will respond to Kim when this next moment has been resolved.)

Vee looks in the chest a bit disappointed, nothing glittering again!
She takes one of the vials in her hand. holding it in front of her eyes she asks Brax: " wasn't there a similar vial in a chest downstairs? For what are these liquids usable?"
(ooc: that was on page 22 and 23, (I've searched it for a long time) and now Brax has the purple vial)

Searos glowers at Brax a bit and then looks into the broken chest. He spies the smaller chest and picks it up. This time however, he carefully checks it for traps before attempting to pick the lock.
"Lets see what we have here..."

Suprisingly the chest does not appear to be locked, or trapped, perhaps it was felt that the spell trap was the only thing that was needed. Regardless, the chest opens slowly, inside there appears to be around 100gp, he estimates anyway. (Btw the chest is 6inches by 9 inches in size.
"That potion is for healing the sick, these have another purpose." She uncorks a single vial, sniffing gently, "Poison maybe?" She ponders looking closely at Vee.
Below, Kim shouts for Brax, yet there appears to be no answer, as if the half elf's voice carries no sound up to the upper level.
Echo manages to move her left arm ever so slightly, wiggling the hand a touch.
