"I think he is only like that towards you," Jocelyn says. "But I don't think I would describe him as narrowed minded," she adds with a shake of her head. "Anyway, I'm going to go clean up and buy some new clothes. I see all of you on the ship," she says as she walks off to do exactly what she said she was going to do.

Naras Stonebreaker (Temple of Gonto, Naras' office)
Naras returned to her office to find Otaya, "Firstly, Otaya, I have been grumpy, and for that I am sorry. I pray that you will forgive me this. I do not find the life of an urban cleric easy.
Now, I would wish us to be of the same mind with respect to Deanna. It is my intention that we help her. But I maintain we have no binding obligation to do so. But we shall do so nonetheless.
Can you agree to this as a starting point? If not, please explain your viewpoint to me. Otherwise, what help to Deanna did you have in mind?"

Ouragna looks at Jocelyn's back as the other woman leaves. Then she looks at Bearos, her remaining companion. "Well then... I guess I'll get a bath, too. And then I return to the ship. I don't need any new clothes."

Cool, Val will look to upgrade her bow, and take a peek at armor. A hard shell breast plane would be nice.

Jocelyn and Ouragana (Paragon Inn)
Jocelyn and Ouragana head to the Paragon for baths, which cost them a mere 3 copper each. It feels great to wash away the crud and filth that had accumulated over the past two weeks. The water quickly turns brown as they bathe, but when they are finished they feel much better. They brush out any leaves and twigs caught up in their hair then head back to the ship to wait for dinner that night.
========
Jocelyn spends 3 coppers on a bath. She is now freshly clean.

Val Urgan (Leatherworker)
Val checks out the weaponsmith's shop but they don't have any bows better than what she already has. She then hits the leatherworker shop, but aside from leather, studded leather and hide, they don't have anything exotic like a shell breast plate.
Naras Stonebreaker (Temple of Gonto)
Otaya chuckles. "I don't know if I've ever heard anyone call Narin 'urban.' It's quite a podunk compared to Paradise City. But in any case, I accept your apology. I agree, we should do the right thing, even if we are not required to do so. That's what makes it right."

The dwarf nods, "Good and thanks. Now, Otaya, what do you know about Deanna's business and financial status and what exactly would you have in mind for helping her?"

After her bath, Ouragana feels much better. To return to the ship, she does not take the straightest way, but wanders through the streets a little, looking for anything that might catch her eye.

Jocelyn, Ouragana, Val, Baeros, Gallath, Drav (Bullring, captain's quarters)
After everyone finishes bathing, shopping or wandering around, they return to the ship in time for the dinner on the Bullring.
The captain's cabin is quite large, being around 20 x 30 feet in size. There's a nice, large window on the back wall, revealing a view of the ocean.
In the center of the room, a table (large enough for ten people) has been set up. It has a nice white tablecloth, and plates and glasses, as well as silverware, have been set out for each chair.
The room is decorated with a number of trophies, likely from past adventures. Among them include a stuffed minotaur head mounted on the wall, a large egg (roughly the size of a human head), and some kind of ceremonial urn (encrusted with gems). There are also several pieces of jewelry and other valuables on display.
Granite has sent word he isn't feeling well and won't be attending. Brock has also stated he wants to be alone for the night. Chairs are left out for them, though, in case they change their minds.
Sierra and Terra have discarded their leathers, weapons and gear for the evening and are dressed more casually. Both are wearing silk shirts and cotton pants and soft boots. Terra's shirt has all of the buttons undone on the collar, though, revealing her ample cleavage. Sierra's shirt is buttoned up all of the way. Further, Terra's clothes are bright and colorful while Sierra's are in muted tones. Both also have bathed recently and had their hair combed. Sierra's hair is wound up into a severe bun while Terra's is left as it is, cascading down her shoulders.
When the first of the guests arrive, Sierra says, "It feels like a year since the last time we did this. It's hard to believe it's only been two weeks. She takes a seat at the head of the table and gestures for the others to sit, as well.
Terra, however, walks over to the liquor cabinet and pours herself a drink. "I'm just glad to have a meal of something other than gruel for a change," she admits.
Naras Stonebreaker (Temple of Gonto)
Otaya blinks at Naras' question, as if having difficulty following her. "Uh, what? I don't know. I've only met Deanna a couple of times in passing. She's a merchant of some sort...something about imports and exports. I'm not sure. I don't see how that's relevant, though. Aren't we talking about the money that you promised to Agnas' estate? Deanna is now the executor of that estate, so rightfully it belongs to her now. That's what I mean by 'doing the right thing.' It's what Agnas would have wanted, if she had known about it at all."

"Let's get to the heart of this - what would have happened if I had not come along? We may presume Agnas would have been alive for some more years. How much money, as an amount not a vague 'all of it', was Agnas giving to Deanna per month?"

"I feel kind of under dressed," Jocelyn admitted as she sat down at the table. Yeah, she had a bath, but she didn't do anything special for this dinner.

Ouragna had changed into her clean spare clothes and bundled the others up, to give them out to cleaning the next morning before going to the temple. She also decided which of the two shawls to keep and which to give away. She wouldn't need three, after all! Having two sets of clothing was vain enough.
"Thank you for the invitation, Captain" she says as she enters the room. If she is not pointed to a place by one of the sisters, she will sit down on the nearest chair.

Jocelyn, Ouragana, Val, Baeros, Gallath, Drav (Bullring, captain's quarters)
"Under-dressed?" repeats Terra to Jocelyn with a chuckle. "You wore the exact same thing last time. These are our casual clothes, so if anything, you're over-dressed in those formal vestments."
After Ouragana sits down, Sierra asks, "Any luck with that curse thing?"
Naras Stonebreaker (Temple of Gonto)
"I still don't see what that has to do with anything," Otaya responds. "I don't know exactly how much of the three gold a month we get that she gave to Deanna. I'm sure she kept a few silvers from it each month for basic essentials, but the church provided most of what she needed anyway."

Naras Stonebreaker (Temple of Gonto)
Naras continued patiently, "Otaya, let me try this another way. Gonto teaches that we are to be Lawful in our undertakings. By the Last Will & Testament of Agnas, she left all of her money and possessions to the temple. That is the written law which we are obligated to follow, both in Narin's law and under Divine teachings. From beyond the grave, Agnas confirmed this to be her desire. It is irrelevant whether Agnas was worth 1 copper piece or a million platinum. Both amounts are covered by the word 'All'.
We'll deal with what we think Agnas would or would not have wanted and what the temple will or will not do with any monies involved in a minute . For now, I need us to agree the Lawful aspect. Can you agree with what I have said? Or else show me the earthly law or Divine teaching that contravenes or contradicts it. "

(OOC: In retro active)
"Done!" Baeros says and takes the axe, waving it carefully to measure its weight and balance. Although it was not his favorite weapon, he had worked a lot with axes as his father was a lumberjack, and he knew to use them as weapons too.
"It is a good weapon. I'll tell Brock to drop by if he can." Baeros pays and hurries after Jocelyn and Ouragana.
(OOC: In dinner)
When Baeros arrives to the dining room he find it hard not to stare at Terra's cleavage. But in spite of himself he does do a great effort and able to look a way, after twenty heartbeats or so.
"Hi all." He says.
==============================
(OOC: I assume Baeros have enough money for the axe.)

Val actually does take the time to bathe after her shore leave. Se does run her woolens through the bath water as well. As she waljs in, she stops to pour a drink before she sits down, trying not to stare.
"Thanks for the supper invitation Captain. It is a pleasure." Val tries to lay it on a bit.
